Matthew Judon 2024 Outlook: Sacks at a Discount
6 months agoMatthew Judon is a perpetually underrated name in many IDP circles. In his first two years as a Patriot, Judon finished seventh and then fourth in the NFL in sacks. Last year, he missed a majority of the season with a torn bicep, but he still finished eleventh amongst all DLs in fantasy points per game in Standard IDP Scoring. In fact, Judon was on pace for 17 sacks when he went down in Week 4. Now, there are reasons why Judon is falling in most projections and drafts. He will be 32 years old this season and is coming off a serious injury. However, all reports suggest Judon is back to full-strength and is ready to go. The former Raven has also registered at least 60 tackles in each of his two full seasons as a Patriot, which isn't elite but is good enough to put him amongst the top 25 defensive linemen and edges who qualify. The age, injury concerns, and lack of elite metrics are all good reasons to wait on Judon in drafts. However, he is one of the cheapest DLs with 15+ sack upside you will find.
