Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (6/24/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy Sports

Koby Hansons' DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 6/24/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks.  I have mainly been focusing on COD so far this season but every once in a while I get a chance to write up some great CS:GO articles as well, while the CDL takes a break in between stages! As always, I will give you the stats and info you need to build the best lineups possible for your GPP and cash game CS:GO contests on DraftKings. Fiend may have been swept but still ended up optimal surprisingly enough as the first map ended up going into quadruple OT and almost everyone had 40+ kills.  SunPayus dominated as usual and Copenhagen made a comeback in map 3 to seal the deal! On to tomorrow!

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Thursday, June 24th, 2021 at 9:00 AM.

Be sure to also check out our awesome CS:GO Premium DFS Tools including our Lineup Optimizer, Research Station, Projections, and DFS Cheat Sheets! Gamers without Borders 2021

Best of 3

  • Faze (-115) vs. BiG (-120)
  • Furia (-200) vs. Dignitas (+155)

Captain Plays

XANTARES: Other than their rough game against Sinners today, Xantares has been a top option for BiG and has had a positive K/D differential in 12 of his last 13 games and has averaged over the last month a 1.12 K/D with .71 kills per round and a low .64 deaths per round.  They are going up against a FaZe team that has struggled to get a win and hasn't since their 2-0 win over Furia almost 2 months ago. They have had some close matches though and therefore I do think it goes 3 maps but that's great for Xantares who can rack up the kills in close game matches. He's also on the cheaper side so you can afford to grab him and still get some of the other top plays on the board without breaking the bank.

KSCERATO: FURIA is our biggest favorite on the slate, but I don't think they should be that large of favorites. They lost junior over the last couple of weeks to him stepping down and have now brought honda in from off the bench. This is going to be the first time in over 5 months since he last played on the team. I think this ends up being a close battle which is fantastic for KSCERATO who can just rack up the kills and push himself to the top of the leaderboard. In his last 5 games, he has been one of the top two fraggers on the team and has a positive K/D in all 5 of them. Over the last month of play, KSCERATO has a 1.21 K/D and has a stellar .76 KPR and a low .63 DPR. He is quite pricey but I think this game stays close and therefore making KSCERATO worth the price to pay.

Other captain plays in order of preference: broky, syrson, yuurih

Value Plays

F0rest: On the flip side of the FURIA/Dignitas, we have f0rest who is far too cheap for his own good. I think this matchup is a very close one, more than odds make it out to be. We are getting a top fragger from Dignitas who over the last month has a 1.16 K/D and a KPR of .78 and a DPR of .67 for only 6k! That is far too cheap for someone who can turn a slate on its side like F0rest. He has been a great player for Dignitas and if they have any chance of upsetting FURIA, it's going to be because of him. I love F0rest as a one-off play in your lineups, or if you decide to stack, Heap is a great pair with F0rest at a very cheap price as well.

VINI/honda: honda is definitely a risk as a play here as we haven't seen how he is playing since the end of January. But that sweet price tag of 4,400 is very interesting and could make for a nice lineup if he performs well. At that price, you might as well kiss the salary cap goodbye because there is a low chance you are going to end up hitting it. But the risk is there in playing him. The matchup is a decent one and should be a close game for him to get back in control. The only scary thing with rostering him is in the 6 games he played in January only 3 maps out of 16 resulted in a positive K/D. That price is so tempting though, on the other hand, I think Vini is a decent pivot if you have the salary room to get to him.  He is a bit inconsistent but has shown flashes of upside here and there and at 5,800 he's a great value option on a team that should pull out a win.

Other value plays in order of preference: Heap, k1to, olofmeister(punt)

Top Stacks / Team Picks

BiG: I really struggled to find a team to pick as a stack so I'm going against FaZe here. They just can't seem to find a way to win games and I really like BiG after a loss. They tend to come back and play much better and redeem themselves. Especially after I pick them on the day they lose... They have a great lineup with Xantares and syrson being the top options to play. Tabsen is a reliable option as well. k1to and tizian are players who are very inconsistent and I can't ever seem to get them right. I do lean k1to over tizian though because when k1to is on fire, he can break the slate and at 5,200 it might be worth a shot or two in your lineups.

FaZe has struggled over the last two months and only has one win in that time. They have been able to keep most games close and even steal a map on most occasions but their lack of a strong team has caused them to fail over the last two months. BiG is in a great spot to rebound after a tough loss and I think they are cheap enough to make for a very good stacking option without breaking the bank.

Other Stacks: Furia

Note: Junior is not playing for Furia and coldzera is not playing for FaZe either, and will be getting 0 points. Do not put him in your lineups!
