Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (3/24/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby's DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Early Morning Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 3/24/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Hello Esports enthusiasts and welcome back to our Esports coverage of CS:GO DFS! The ESL Pro League tournament is upon us and 24 teams are up for a grand prize of 175,000$ to first place. There are 4 groups of 6 teams and each group will round-robin and play each other over the next 5 teams. We move on to the next group of play as these teams include Natus Vincere, Gambit, Cloud9, TeamOne, MiBR, and Furia.

With COD taking up all my time I haven't had much of a chance to go over this great group of teams as they enter the final day of their group play. Currently, Gambit, FURIA, and Cloud9 are in the top 3 spots with MiBR and Natus Vincere still on the outside looking in. This is going to be a great final day and we have a lot to go over! So let's get right into it! Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on FanDuel and DraftKings for Wednesday, March 24th at 2:00 PM ET.

DFS Captain Plays

S1mple: I don't know that I have to do too much convincing of playing s1mple here but just in case, this man just dropped 76 kills in two rounds. The first map went into OT but still, 76 kills is something you see most players not even drop in 3 maps let alone 2. He had a +33 on the day and even had three rounds with 4 of the 5 kills. He is the GOAT, plain and s1mple. See what I did there? Okay moving on. TeamOne is by far the worst team in this tournament, not even just the group. They have only won 2 maps so far in this tournament and this is probably the last team they want to see for their final match. Navi is still fighting for a playoff spot, so I don't expect s1mple and friends to let their foot off the gas here. s1mple is averaging 81 DKP per game and has a 1.50 K/D over the last three months. Averaging .88 kills per round and a small .59 deaths per round. The only thing that should worry you about rostering him, is how fast does NaVi beat TeamOne? If it's too fast they might not score as well as we hope, but S1mple can rack up a lot of kills quickly and should be able to hit value.

Ax1le: Ax has been playing extremely well right now, and a lot of people are immediately going to look at sh1ro and lock him in, and normally I would too, but Ax has been playing at the same level if not better in some games recently and we are getting him at 800$ cheaper. In his last 5 games he has gone +30, +14, +11, +18, and +21. The dude is playing at an elite level right now and I'm all over it. They get a tough game in Furia but as Gambit is still looking to lock up the 1st seed in their group, I don't see them laying back on this one. They should be coming out full force and scoring very well in the process. Gambit has the closest odds on the slate but after the performance from FURIA I saw on Monday, I have no doubt Gambit should win this one. AX1le is averaging a 1.2 K/D and is getting about .75 kills per round and .62 deaths per round over the last three months.

Other captain plays: sh1ro, hobbit, electronic, Mezii, Xeppaa, ALEX(PUNT CAPTAIN)

DFS Value Plays

Alex: Watch out for the Alex chalk. NOT! Yes, he's going to be chalky but I'm all over him for 5,200. He is great in games where C9 is winning and in a game I like them a lot against a poor MiBR team. Alex is looking like a great play as he has +19 and +4 in his last two wins with 42 and 58 kills. I'm actually quite surprised to see his price where it is, as in his last two games he has 69 and 86 DKP which is well over value at his price. His overall K/D at 1.00 isn't anything to be excited about but he has shown improvement over the last two games and for his price, it's definitely worth the shot to right back to him.

nafany: Nafany has been lowkey overlooked, He isn't very flashy and doesn't get a very high scoring but he is insanely consistent with his scoring on DK. I like the price at 6,600 and it presents some sneak value as during the tournament he has averaged 67 DKP per game, but his floor has been 64. His ceiling isn't very high but if Gambit can sweep Furia, his ceiling could be a bit higher. I like him quite a bit more than interz as nafany has been going at least positive in the majority of his games and is averaging a 1.01 K/D with .70 kills per round and .68 deaths per round. He is also getting quite a bit of assist nearly averaging .20 per round and for every assist he gets, that's an extra point to add to his total. The more the merrier.

Other Value Plays: Boombl4, arT(GPP), es3tag, skullz(PUNT)

Top Stacks / Team Picks

Natus Vincere: I'm so confident in Navi tomorrow, I'm going to be broke if they lose. TeamOne somehow made their way into this tournament and in reality, they really shouldn't have. They have been consistently outclassed by every single team they have faced in this tourney and are currently on a 6 game losing streak with only winning 2 maps in that time period as well. The only way I see NaVi losing this is if S1mple takes the night off and as long as S1mple is there, NaVi is still ranked 1st in the world. This should be a very convincing win and the only thing I worry about here is that it's too quick. Navi is still fighting for a playoff spot so they are going to come out and play how they normally play. S1mple is a top-tier play as always and should be highly looked at in your lineups. Flamie and B1t are currently unusable as they are taken out based on the map they play. So it's a risk to play them especially if this results in a sweep there is a good chance both of them only see one map on the day and that's gonna be a bad scoring line. Plus B1t is way too expensive. Perfecto is about the only other one I'd be looking at, as he has been consistent but his price is also on the heavy side. Electronic is too expensive as well. The thing is you are almost getting a guaranteed sweep out of these guys and it makes sense why they are expensive. Just makes it difficult to get them.

Cloud9: Cloud9 just made fools out of Furia, handing them their first loss of the tournament. And it was a bad one too. 32-7, now that is a rough score to look at if you are FURIA. Cloud9 was just simply the better team all-around in that game, and if they are able to continue this against MiBR, I really like Cloud9. C9 has beaten TeamOne and Furia and has lost to NaVi and Gambit which are understandable losses for sure. MiBR is the 2nd worst in this group with their only win being against none other than TeamOne. Cloud9 should be able to win this one pretty favorably and I really like the chance that they have to sweep as well. Alex has played very well in the last two games that they have one and is very cheap. Xeppaa is a little up there in price, so therefore I like Mezii a little more for cheaper. floppy has always been a solid play for me and I don't mind going back to his price either. es3tag has been okay but I like the price better on Alex for 1k less. C9 by a sweep is the call here.

Other Top Stacks/ Teams: Gambit, FURIA (GPP)

Predictions

Gambit beats FURIA 2-1

Cloud9 beats MiBR 2-0

NaVi beats TeamOne 2-0
