Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (3/17/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby's DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Early Morning Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 3/17/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Hello Esports enthusiasts and welcome back to our Esports coverage of CS:GO DFS! The ESL Pro League tournament is upon us and 24 teams are up for a grand prize of 175,000$ to first place. There are 4 groups of 6 teams and each group will round-robin and play each other over the next 5 teams. We move on to the next group of play as these teams include Mousesports, Ence, G2, NiP, Vitality, and FaZe.

Mouz is tanking but the rest of the field is still very much in play as 4 teams all have 2-1 records coming into tomorrow's game. These last two days of the Group Stage are going to be critical for teams trying to seal a spot in the ESL Playoffs as only 3 teams make it. We have a lot to go over! So let's get right into it! Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on FanDuel and DraftKings for Tuesday, March 17th at 7:00 AM ET.

DFS Captain Plays

ZywOo: Mouz was looking like they were going to take Vitality down until ZywOo kicked it into gear and dropped a casual ace and a couple of 4 pieces to go with it. This man is a menace, and the only thing preventing you from putting him in your lineup is his price and even then you should make it happen. He currently has a 1.3 K/D and is averaging .8 kills per round and only. 61 deaths per round. He is easily the safest player on the slate and you almost have a guaranteed floor from him of at least 50-60 points but his ceiling puts him up around 120 DKP. He has an insane range and is easily one of the best players in the world. Lock him in and call it a night because you shouldn't have to worry about ZywOo putting up numbers and the matchup against Ence is a good one too. A win here locks them into a spot in the playoffs. Expect ZywOo to be on his A-game.

Plopski: Rez is once again cheap and I highly recommend taking a look at him but I talked about him last time so let us talk about the other big guy on NiP. Plopski has a 1.1 K/D and is averaging .7 kills per round and .65 deaths per round and is also averaging a nice .15 assists per round as well. He has been really solid over the last month going positive in 8 of his last 10 matches and has been easily one of the most consistent players on NiP. And has looked great in both their wins in the ESL tournament going +8 and +12 in those games. He's a nice discount from ZywOo and a great pivot option if you are looking in that direction. He also has a great matchup against the 0-3 mousesports team that has struggled so far this tournament. I expect NiP to continue that trend and win in sweeping fashion.

Other captain plays: NiKo, ropz, Rez, hunter

DFS Value Plays

nawwk: Nawwk in the ESL Tournament so far has dropped DKP of 62, 73, 65. DraftKings is making it too easy at this point. His price has come up and down but coming into this game his price only came up 200$. He is playing at a very high level right now and really doesn't deserve to be this low. He is more than likely going to be chalky but he is the clear value play on this slate and it's hard to move from him especially in this matchup against the 0-3 Mouz team that has struggled so far in the ESL Group stage. NiP has looked like a really solid team so far and they are going to be difficult to stop. As they have swept both Ence and FaZe so far. If nawwk continues to play at this level his price has got to come up soon and I'm going to take advantage as long as it stays in this range.

hunter: There aren't too many value plays I love on this slate of games but hunter pops out to me as someone who has been consistent throughout this tournament so far dropping 76, 79, and 67 DKP in each of his three matches so far. He is also averaging 50 kills in those games.  7,200 is on the high side of value but he is definitely worth a look at his price. I also like the matchup against FaZe, where I'm confident that G2 gets the win here I'm just not sure whether they sweep or if it gets taken to three games. Either way, hunter has performed well and it should continue that way and I'll be on him as long as he stays in the mid-tier price range. He has a 1.06 K/D and is averaging .71 kills per game and .65 deaths per game. And so far has gone positive in all three ESL group play matches.

Other Value Plays: Amanek, RPK, ztr(PUNT), nexa, Coldzera (GPP)

Top Stacks / Team Picks

Vitality: I was right to think Ence wasn't the move against NiP and I'm going to continue that coming into this one as Vitality is a lot better than NiP is and should be able to take care of Ence in quick fashion. ZywOo and friends as many call them should be looking at a sweep. ZywOo is the clear top play on the slate and team. Close second is shox and other than that their isn't much more than a few guys with some sweep bonuses. misutaa, RPK, and Apex aren't fantastic players and they are mainly meat shields for ZywOo, they take a lot of deaths and are all risky. Out of all of them, I would just take RPK if you are looking for a full Vitality stack because he's the cheapest but I recommend just grabbing ZywOo and Shox and run for the hills.

NiP: NiP has been very good to me so far in this tournament and I hope that continues as they are one of my favorite teams to stack on this slate. They get the 0-3 Mouz team and should be able to make them 0-4. NiPs only loss so far was against G2 and that game was close. They should lock up a spot in the playoffs here if they get the win, so I expect NiP to come out and play some of the best CS:GO cause getting that playoff spot is going to be critical here. Nawwk, REZ, and Plopski are my favorite plays here. Hampus has been playing pretty well also and could be a lower-owned pivot option if you are looking for something away from the chalk. ztr is really only worth a play for the sweep bonus and even then I'm not sure I could recommend him and his very poor .75 K/D, he has been straight awful so far and really isn't worth much of a look.

Other Top Stacks/ Teams: G2, FaZe (GPP)

Predictions

G2 beats FaZe 2-1

Vitality beats Ence 2-0

NiP beats Mouz 2-0
