Jameson Williams - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Mike Fanelli gives his fantasy football bold predictions for Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season. Should you start or sit Daniel Jones, Rhamondre Stevenson, Jameson Williams?

Week 10 is here, and I’m back with another edition of fantasy football bold predictions. This week’s list of bold predictions will include Daniel Jones, Rhamondre Stevenson, Jameson Williams, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and Jonnu Smith.

Every week, I will provide some fun and bold fantasy football predictions. While these bold predictions aren’t the most likely outcomes, they are things I believe could happen this week.

Let’s look at my five bold predictions for Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season.

Daniel Jones

Finishes the week as a top-five quarterback

Jones is the QB18 for the year, averaging 13.7 fantasy points per game. The veteran has had some awful performances, totaling single-digit fantasy points in nearly half of the games, including two of the past three contests. However, he is coming off his best fantasy performance this season.

The former Duke star had an awful first half against the Washington Commanders in Week 9, totaling zero passing yards. However, he was outstanding in the second half. Jones finished the game with a 76.9% completion rate, totaling 174 passing yards and two touchdowns. Furthermore, the veteran had his best performance on the ground this year.

Last week, Jones had seven attempts for 54 yards and his first rushing touchdown in 2024. He finished the game with 24.4 fantasy points, a season-high, despite facing an improving Washington defense. More importantly, the veteran quarterback has an excellent matchup against the Carolina Panthers this week.

Carolina has surrendered 19.3 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, the fourth-most in the NFL. Furthermore, they've been awful lately, giving up two passing touchdowns and 22.7 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the past three weeks despite facing two limited passing attacks. Jones should have his way with this struggling defense in Germany.

Rhamondre Stevenson…

Has at least two touchdowns

Stevenson has played well this season. The veteran is the RB21 for the year, averaging 13.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He has had some awful performances, totaling 10 fantasy points in three games this season. However, the former Oklahoma star has been outstanding in the other five games, averaging 19 fantasy points per contest.

Last week, Stevenson scored 19.9 fantasy points despite having only 10 rushing attempts for 16 yards against an elite Tennessee Titans run defense. He had a rushing touchdown and a receiving score to tie the game. More importantly, last week wasn’t the first time that Stevenson had two touchdowns in a game.

The veteran running back had two rushing touchdowns in the Week 8 win over the New York Jets. Stevenson has found the end zone at least once in 62.5% of the games, including five touchdowns over the past four contests, totaling one or more in all but one matchup. More importantly, the Chicago Bears have struggled to keep running backs out of the end zone.

Chicago has given up eight rushing touchdowns to running backs, surrendering at least one in 62.5% of their games. Furthermore, they have allowed running backs to total at least two rushing touchdowns twice, including last week. The Arizona Cardinals backfield had 205 rushing yards and two touchdowns against the Bears last week on 31 attempts.

Jameson Williams…

Returns from his suspension with a massive fantasy performance

Williams missed the past two games because of a suspension for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing substances. The former Alabama star is the WR49 for the year, averaging 11 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Furthermore, he has been outstanding outside of a pair of poor performances.

The third-year wide receiver had 0.1 fantasy points in his last contest before serving his two-game suspension. However, Williams had averaged 13.1 fantasy points per game before that contest, totaling 11.9 or more in all but one matchup. The star wide receiver has been a big-play scoring machine.

Fantasy players know Williams can win them their week with one catch. He has three receiving touchdowns in six games. All three totaled at least 37 receiving yards, with two coming from 50 or more yards away. More importantly, he has an excellent matchup on Sunday night against the Houston Texans.

Houston has surrendered 30.1 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, the sixth-most in the NFL. Last week, the Texans surrendered 17 receptions for 187 receiving yards, three touchdowns, and 45 fantasy points to the New York Jets wide receiver core. Expect the Detroit Lions to feature Williams in his first game back.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine…

Scores double-digit fantasy points for the third consecutive game

Many fantasy players hadn’t heard of Westbrook-Ikhine before last week. The veteran wide receiver is the WR81 for the year, averaging only five half-point PPR fantasy points per game. However, he has stepped up as the No. 2 wide receiver after the Tennessee Titans traded away DeAndre Hopkins.

Westbrook-Ikhine had zero targets before the Titans’ Week 5 bye. By comparison, the veteran has been the WR22 over the past four weeks, averaging 10 fantasy points per game. He has found the end zone in all four games, leading the team in receiving touchdowns this season.

More importantly, Westbrook-Ikhine has back-to-back games with double-digit fantasy points against two solid defenses. Last week, he had five receptions on six targets for 50 receiving yards and 13.5 fantasy points, setting season highs in every category against the New England Patriots.

The veteran wide receiver faces the Los Angeles Chargers this weekend. They have had issues slowing down wide receivers since their bye week. The Chargers have surrendered one receiving touchdown and 25.1 fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the past four weeks, giving up 31.6 or more twice, including in Week 9.

Jonnu Smith…

Is a top-five tight end this week

Hopefully, fantasy players prepared to be without multiple star tight ends this week. Brock Bowers, David Njoku, and Tucker Kraft are on a bye in Week 10, leaving fantasy players to find replacements off the waiver wire. One of my favorite targets this week is Smith. The veteran is the TE18 for the year, averaging 6.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.

While he averaged 2.3 targets and 3.1 fantasy points per game over the first four weeks, Smith’s role on offense has grown recently. He has averaged 6.8 targets and 9.7 fantasy points per game over his past four contests, totaling at least six targets in every matchup. Furthermore, he had his best performance this season a few weeks ago.

Smith was the TE1 in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts, catching all seven targets for 96 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 19.1 fantasy points. While that performance was with Tyler Huntley starting, the veteran tight end has seen at least six targets in back-to-back games with Tua Tagovailoa under center.

More importantly, Smith faces a Los Angeles Rams defense on Monday night that has struggled to stop tight ends. They have surrendered 12.2 fantasy points per game to tight ends this year, the sixth-most in the NFL. Furthermore, the Rams have given up 66.8 receiving yards and 14.1 fantasy points per game to tight ends over their past four contests, surrendering 11.5 or more in all but one matchup.
