Jesper Wallstedt Controls Flames
Minnesota Wild goaltender Jesper Wallstedt had a career-high 36 saves during a shutout performance in Sunday's 2-0 victory over the Calgary Flames. It was a busy night for Wallstedt, but he didn't flinch against the NHL's worst offense, becoming the fourth netminder in franchise history to pick up multiple shutouts as a rookie. Wallstedt, who is backing up Filip Gustavsson in Minnesota, has yet to lose in regulation this season, going 3-0-2. He has produced a 2.51 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage. Gustavsson has not been great this season, which may lead to additional playing time for Wallstedt. He has started back-to-back games for the first time in his career.
