High-Upside Bench Stashes: Sneaky Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds Before Week 10

Kyle Williams - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Rookies

Andy's must-have bench stashes and sneaky fantasy football waiver wire adds, sleepers ahead of Week 10 in 2025. Pick up these high-upside players before Week 10.

Hey RotoBallers! With the Week 10 slate just hours away, let's take a look at a few high-use stash options at each position. Throughout this series, I have encouraged managers to stash players like Kimani Vidal, Oronde Gadsden II, and even J.J. McCarthy as recently as last week, prior to this breakout showing.

This weekend, we will spotlight a rookie WR who is set to finally earn a full-time role and could be a sneaky breakout pick for the second half.

However, these suggestions are not meant to be your "one-week" replacement players. The vast majority of these players hold minimal standalone value but could become must-start players as soon as they receive a boost in the depth chart. All players suggested are available in at least 75% of all Yahoo! leagues. Let's dive in!

Editor's Note: The FFPC Baby Gorilla Tournament is now open, featuring a $100,000 grand prize and a $675,450 total prize pool! This 12-team, Tight End Premium contest uses a 20-round draft format, with the overall winners determined by total points scored during Weeks 15–17. High-Upside Fantasy Football Stashes - Running Backs

Brian Robinson Jr., San Francisco 49ers

20% rostered

Throughout the first half of the season, managers have seen many running backs suffer an injury and miss time. Even last weekend, there was concern about Saquon Barkley (groin) missing time, but since he has returned to full participation in practice, he should be in the clear for Week 10. This week, we saw James Cook (foot/ankle) open as a non-participant, which raised some concern about his status.

As a result, sometimes stashing true RB2s is the perfect answer for a lottery ticket. When looking at one who is widely available, there is no better choice than Brian Robinson Jr. of the San Francisco 49ers. Throughout the first nine weeks, Robinson has operated as the clear RB2 behind workhorse Christian McCaffrey. However, unlike most modern backfields, Robinson has rarely seen significant work.

He has only seen more than 20% of the snaps in two games and has never seen more than 30%. However, he is the clear RB2 as second-year RB Isaac Guerendo has yet to earn a single carry and is nothing more than a depth option on the roster.

With a limited workload, Robinson has flashed upside in this offense, posting a strong 4.8 YPC, which would be the highest mark of his career. Given McCaffrey's injury history and massive workload he is currently seeing, Robinson could enter the top-12 territory if McCaffrey were to miss time.

If you have an open roster spot, Robinson is one of the best lottery tickets to target.

Devin Neal, New Orleans Saints

10% rostered

The other running back to consider stashing is Devin Neal of the New Orleans Saints. Neal opened the season as the No. 3 RB on the roster but saw his role increase once Kendre Miller (knee) was shut down for the campaign following Week 7. Since Week 8, Neal has logged at least 39% of the snaps in back-to-back games and even hit the 46% mark in Week 8.

During this stretch, Alvin Kamara has remained the leader of the backfield but has not had an overly large role, logging just 51% of the snaps and 59% during this stretch. However, Neal holds a spot on this list not only because of his jump in snaps but also because of Kamara's stark decline in play.

Kamara is on pace to have the worst season of his career by a significant margin. He enters Week 10 holding a low 3.6 YPC, which is the lowest mark of his career. Since Week 5, Kamara's average has dropped to 3.0. Throughout these five games, Kamara has only eclipsed double-digit PPR points once and has never eclipsed 40 rushing yards in a single game.

In addition, while Kamara has yet to miss time, he has been dealing with a lingering ankle injury, which could be a reason why he is struggling. He has also missed at least two games of action in each of his last two seasons, suggesting the Saints may look to shut him down towards the end of the campaign if he feels the effects of this injury.

Neal could enter high-end RB2 territory if Kamara were to miss time.

Other RBs to Consider Stashing:

High-Upside Fantasy Football Stashes - Wide Receivers

Kyle Williams, New England Patriots

5% rostered

Earlier this week, Patriots OC Josh McDaniels spoke quite highly of the young rookie, and given the current state of the New England WR room, Williams appears poised to finally break out. Entering week 10, starting wideout Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) is ruled out, which would open a major role for Williams.

When Boutte exited last week's contest, Williams was the primary beneficiary, as he logged 46% of the snaps, the highest mark of his debut season. This mark was higher than DeMario Douglas, who ended up having a greater impact on the scoresheet. In addition, his snap share was quite close to Mack Hollins and Stefon Diggs, who logged 63% and 60% of the snaps, respectively.

In college, Williams flashed immense upside at Washington State. During his final season in 2024, Williams totaled 1,198 yards and 14 touchdowns, both of which were career-highs. With Drake Maye playing at an MVP-level, Williams could have the opportunity to emerge as a weekly contributor in this offense.

He is a priority target for those in 12+ team three-WR formats.

Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers

12% rostered

The other wideout to consider stashing is second-year Jalen Coker. Coker opened the season on the shelf due to a quadriceps injury and has slowly seen his role increase. After seeing just 37% of the snaps in his season debut in Week 7, Coker has logged 66% of the snaps in back-to-back games. While his modest four total catches for 45 yards do not jump off the page, seeing his role increase is a positive sign.

Remember, over the second half of the 2024 season, Coker was quietly a viable FLEX option every week. Over his final seven games, the undrafted pass catcher averaged 10.6 PPR points per game with 52.9 yards per game.

More importantly, in Week 9, Coker actually logged more snaps than the team's No. 2 WR, Xavier Legette, for the first time. Seeing Coker not only outsnapping Legette but having a more productive role suggests he could return to his second-half 2024 form very soon.

Other WRs to Consider Stashing:

High-Upside Fantasy Football Stashes - Tight Ends

Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens

15% rostered

Isaiah Likely's stock may have taken a hit after Mark Andrews' two-TD showing on Thursday evening. However, Likely still had a strong showing and is worth stashing in deeper leagues ahead of Week 10. In their victory over the Dolphins, Likely actually saw two more targets than Andrews, and tallied 60 yards compared to his 22 yards.

Since Week 6, Likely had out-snapped Andrews in two of the three games and nearly matched him in Week 8 (58% to 60% snap share). While his seven receptions for 74 yards (on eight targets) during this stretch are not overly impressive, Likely has quietly begun to take over the TE1 role, or at least push for a "1A/1B" role.

While both will have a role, with Andrews' primarily being in the red zone, Likely's YAC ability has pushed him into high-end TE2 territory. Given Andrews' decline in play this season, Likely could finally break out with Lamar Jackson back in action. If you lost Tucker Kraft, Likely is a top stash as he is the only TE on your waiver wire with that level of upside.

Other TEs to Consider Stashing:

High-Upside Fantasy Football Stashes - Quarterbacks

Marcus Mariota, Washington Commanders

15% rostered

The final player to consider stashing this week is Marcus Mariota. Mariota is set to resume QB1 duties in Washington with Jayden Daniels (elbow) sidelined. While it appears Daniels will not hit the IR and have a strong chance to run later this season, Mariota figures to be the QB1 for the foreseeable future.

In his three starts this season, Mariota has averaged a strong 19.9 PPR points per game. He has averaged 192.0 passing yards per game with 29.3 rushing yards per game. He has totaled five TDs (four passing) but has also tossed three interceptions.

While his ceiling is not overly high, managers looking for a reliable QB2 should look to target Mariota. His rushing upside gives him a safe floor weekly, and given the state of Washington's defense, he will need to push the ball downfield in most weeks.

Managers struggling to fill their QB spot should look to add Mariota, as he could carry top-15 upside on most weeks.
