Trinidad Chambliss Will Return to Ole Miss If Granted Sixth Year of Eligibility
Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has agreed to a new deal with Ole Miss, pending his eligibility waiver to the NCAA, which would grant him another season. The fifth-year senior has been excellent for the Rebels following a four-year stint at Ferris State. He won the starting role for the Bulldogs in 2024 and led the program to a Division II National Championship. He began the 2025 season as the backup to Austin Simmons, but after Simmons was injured early in the season, Chambliss took over the reins and has not looked back. In 14 game appearances, the 23-year-old has completed over 66% of his passes for 3,660 yards, 21 touchdowns, and just three interceptions. He's added 520 yards and eight scores on the ground. Chambliss has led Ole Miss to two College Football Playoff wins thus far, and he won't follow Kiffin to LSU if he's granted an extra year. Needless to say, this is a great potential development for Ole Miss in 2026.
