Green Bay Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden has been a fantasy disappointment this season, but is looking to get back on track as the Packers welcome the Carolina Panthers for their Week 9 matchup. In Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Golden had one of his least productive fantasy outings this season, with just three receptions for four yards. Golden, the Packers' 2025 first-round pick, has just two games of five or more targets and has been a top-24 fantasy wide receiver just once through seven games. His involvement in the Packers' offense took another hit when Christian Watson played his first game of the season and immediately caught 4-of-4 targets for 85 yards. Better days are on the horizon for Golden, but as it stands right now, he's difficult to start in fantasy lineups in Week 9 against the Panthers.--Kevin Tompkins

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs has been a rising contributor for the Packers in the last few weeks and looks to keep that run going as the Packers host the Carolina Panthers in Week 9. Doubs has averaged almost eight targets over his past three games as Green Bay shifts its focus slightly to featuring more of Doubs and Tucker Kraft in the passing game. With a bit more consistency comes fantasy viability for Doubs, as he's been a top-30 fantasy wide receiver in two of the last three weeks. With Doubs and the Packers facing the Panthers at home and Carolina allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers, Doubs is just a flex play this week with the hope that he continues to carry volume and get into the end zone.--Kevin Tompkins

Green Bay Packers running back Emanuel Wilson has seen his workload expand in the last few weeks, and he looks to contribute to the cause in Green Bay's Week 9 game at home against the Carolina Panthers. With Josh Jacobs (calf) banged up and a mainstay on the injury report despite playing in every game, Wilson saw season-highs in snaps (27) and yards from scrimmage (87) in last week's game against the Steelers. Totaling 61 yards on the ground and 26 receiving yards on three receptions, Wilson has been solidly productive in limited work. That said, as long as Jacobs is active, he will be the featured runner for the Packers. As a pure handcuff to Jacobs in case he's out for any length of time, Wilson shouldn't be rostered in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues, and that remains true for Week 9's game against the Panthers.--Kevin Tompkins

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (calf) has practiced in a limited capacity all week, but is off the injury report and good to go for the Packers as they host the Carolina Panthers in Week 9. Jacobs has averaged just 3.6 yards per carry this season, but has scored nine touchdowns in seven games to help balance things out. With Jacobs being banged up over the last few weeks, backup running back Emanuel Wilson has helped to shoulder some of the rushing load. Still, Jacobs has been taking fewer opportunities for the Packers, but is making it work. After the Panthers' run defense allowed 215 rushing yards from Buffalo's James Cook in Week 8, Jacobs' fantasy managers have to be salivating at this upcoming matchup. Lock Jacobs in as an RB1 in fantasy lineups against Carolina this week.--Kevin Tompkins

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is coming off his best fantasy outing of the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he looks to carry that over in Week 9 as the Packers host the Carolina Panthers. Love was the overall QB1 last week, throwing for 360 yards and three touchdowns in their Sunday Night Football win in Pittsburgh. Despite that huge game, it's hard to imagine Love stringing together multiple fantasy-worthy games, as his last two back-to-back top-12 games came in Week 4 and Week 5 of the 2024 season. But we know Love has the potential to put up yards and fantasy points each week. It's also possible the Packers lean more on the run as the Panthers' defense is one week removed from letting Buffalo's James Cook run wild for 215 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. In this matchup at home against Carolina, consider Love a low-end QB1 with some boom-or-bust potential.--Kevin Tompkins

Through the first seven games of his NFL career, Green Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden has struggled to live up to the preseason fantasy hype. The 22-year-old has recorded 21 catches for 253 yards and zero touchdowns on 26 targets so far this season. He's failed to crack six targets in a game and is coming off one of his least productive outings of the season in Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, recording three catches for four yards. To make matters worse, Packers wideout Christian Watson (knee) made his debut in Week 8 after missing the start of the season due to a knee injury. Green Bay should also get wide receiver Jayden Reed (collarbone, foot) back on the field at some point, which could push Golden even further down the target pecking order. Golden's speed and big-play ability give him some upside, but he's likely to remain difficult for fantasy managers to trust for consistent production.--Will Brady

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (calf) continues to deal with a calf injury and was limited again during Thursday's practice, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. Jacobs has played through a calf injury each of the last two weeks, although he's had his two lowest snap rates in those games at just over 50%. The 27-year-old had only 33 rushing yards on 13 carries in the Sunday night win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he also found the end zone on the ground for the fourth straight week. While Jacobs hasn't gone over 100 yards in a game yet in 2025, he's been money for fantasy managers with nine rushing touchdowns in seven games played. The only game in which he didn't find the end zone was on Sept. 21 in the upset loss to the Cleveland Browns. Jacobs should be active this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, where he'll be a touchdown-dependent midrange RB1 in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (calf) remains out of practice on Thursday, according to Dominique Yates of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Wicks injured his calf in the Week 7 win over the Arizona Cardinals and hasn't practiced or played since. He still has one more day to get back on the field, but it's looking likely that he will miss a second straight contest this weekend when the team takes on the Cincinnati Bengals at Lambeau Field. The 24-year-old is off the fantasy radar in most leagues to begin with, especially after Christian Watson made his season debut in last week's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night. Through eight weeks of the 2025 campaign, Wicks has had limited production, with only 13 receptions for 134 receiving yards. He's still searching for his first touchdown of the year, too.--Keith Hernandez

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) made his long-awaited return in Week 8, posting four receptions for 85 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Coming off an ACL tear in Week 18 last season, Watson looked explosive in limited action, playing 50% of the snaps, just below his typical 60% share from 2024. Watson's big-play ability was on full display, but the Packers' crowded receiver room continues to limit consistent fantasy value. In Week 8, it was the Watson and Tucker Kraft show; next week, it could just as easily be Romeo Doubs and Matthew Golden. With targets spread thin across the offense, Watson remains worth a bench stash, but Green Bay's wide receiver rotation makes it risky to trust any Packers' receiver in fantasy lineups right now.--Nathan Harvey

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice session. Unsurprisingly, Watson is limited to begin the week after making his season debut last Sunday. Watson missed the beginning of the season while recovering from an ACL tear dating back to Week 18 of last season. The Packers are going to be careful with Watson, so having him limited to begin the week makes sense. The assumption is that Watson should be ready to go for the Week 9 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. The Packers might ease Watson back into action, but that hasn't stopped him from making an impact. He hauled in all four of his targets for 85 yards in his season debut. Fantasy managers should check back on Thursday and Friday for more updates on his status.--Andy Webb

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (calf) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice session. This is the second week in a row that Jacobs has dealt with this lingering calf issue. He was able to suit up for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jacobs struggled on the ground as he rushed for 33 yards on 13 attempts, but did find the end zone. Barring any setbacks, Jacobs figures to be ready to go for the Week 9 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Despite a sluggish game last weekend, Jacobs needs to be plugged in as a RB1.--Andy Webb

It looks as though Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (collarbone, foot) has "taken a step toward a return to practice," according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN. Reed was "running off to the side" while the rest of the team practiced on Wednesday. Although it appears as though Reed is making progress from a broken collarbone that he suffered in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders, he still has a way to go before being activated from Injured Reserve, as the Packers have yet to open his 21-day practice window. The 25-year-old had surgery to fix his broken collarbone and is also recovering from surgery to fix a Jones fracture in his foot. There remains no timetable for his return. When Reed returns, he'll be part of a crowded WR mix in Green Bay now that Christian Watson is back from his torn ACL that he suffered in the Week 18 regular-season finale in 2024.--Keith Hernandez

Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) won't be practicing anytime soon, according to head coach Matt LaFleur. Lloyd continues to be an enigma for fantasy owners, as his hype has been consistently derailed by one injury after another. Lloyd joined the Packers as a third-round pick in 2024, but has appeared in just one career regular-season game, gaining 15 yards on six carries last season. The team will continue to operate with Josh Jacobs and change-of-pace option Emanuel Wilson for the foreseeable future. Jacobs has managed 447 yards and nine touchdowns through seven games.--Shaun Albin

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (calf) missed another practice Wednesday, which is especially concerning following his absence in Week 8. Wicks has seen his role diminish in recent weeks, coinciding with the emergence of Matthew Golden. The Packers are taking on a Carolina Panthers team that allows just 198.4 passing yards per game, which will pose a stiff challenge for Jordan Love and the offense. If Wicks continues to miss time, the team will likely utilize Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and Golden on most three-receiver sets.--Shaun Albin

Green Bay Packers running back Emanuel Wilson saw his largest workload of the season in his team's Week 8 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, recording 87 scrimmage yards on 14 touches. Wilson has been efficient when he's had the ball in his hands this year, averaging 5.1 yards per touch on 43 touches across seven games played. The Packers have a workhorse running back ahead of Wilson on the depth chart in Josh Jacobs. However, Jacobs has been playing through a calf injury and has failed to crack 16 touches in either of his last two games after recording at least 20 touches in each of his first five. Wilson is still the clear RB2 in Green Bay as long as Jacobs is active, but there could be an opportunity for more consistent backfield snaps while the team manages Jacobs' workload.--Will Brady
