Jeremy's top fantasy baseball prospect risers, breakouts with big upside for Week 6 of 2026. He analyzes top MLB rookies and call-ups to stash who are surging.
Welcome to the week 6 edition of the top prospect performers. In this weekly piece, we'll take a look at some of the best-performing prospects across the minor leagues and what their exceptional play could mean for their fantasy value. Whether they are worth an immediate stash in redraft leagues or are a rising asset in dynasty leagues, it's important to stay up to date on the recent prospect news.
The most recent big-name promotion was the Guardians' Travis Bazzana, but there are plenty more young players on the way up if you missed out. It's shaping up to be a very successful year for mid-season promotions, as we've already seen the likes of Konnor Griffin, Noah Schultz, and Payton Tolle stand out in the big leagues.
Adding the right prospect at the right time could be just what your team needs to claim the fantasy championship. This week, we'll take a look at one familiar slugger, one new name tearing up Triple-A, and one lower-level prospect who is surging up the ranks. Without further ado, let's get into it.

Bryce Eldridge, 1B, San Francisco Giants
Giants No. 1, Overall No. 20
Bryce Eldridge is still the best prospect to stash in fantasy, so it's no surprise that this is the third time he's been featured in this piece this season. While it would get repetitive to mention him every single week, it's especially noteworthy when he gets hot at the plate, as it could trigger an imminent promotion.
That's exactly what he's done this past week, with two monster performances on April 26 and April 28. The first of those games was a 3-for-5 day with a homer and three RBI, and on the 28th, he went 4-for-5 with two home runs, a walk, four runs scored, and six RBI.

On the season, the slugger is now slashing .315/.413/.509 with five home runs. The strikeouts remain an issue, as he's punched out at a 31% clip, but he's starting to show some slight improvement in that regard. In the past six games heading into Friday, Eldridge has posted a more manageable 23% strikeout rate.
It's likely that the 21-year-old would have gotten the call by now if Casey Schmitt hadn't performed so well in the majors, as he's still hitting above .300 with four homers on the season. For as long as Schmitt is performing well, it will take consistent production from Eldridge at Triple-A to earn that promotion.
This week has been a good start, and if he continues this pace over the course of the next week or two, that could be enough to force San Francisco's hand. They already were confident enough to promote him at the end of 2025, where he didn't find much surface-level success, but impressed with a 68.8% hard-hit rate, 25.0% barrel rate, and .506 xSLG through 10 games played.
He would be a must-add in all leagues when promoted, and is worth stashing in any standard-sized league if you have the bench space available.
Verdict: Stash in 12+ team leagues
A.J. Ewing, OF, New York Mets
Mets No. 3, Overall No. 85
A.J. Ewing entered 2026 known for his blazing speed and plus-hit tool after slashing .315/.401/.429 with three homers, 55 RBI, 87 runs, and 70 stolen bases in 120 games in the minor leagues last season. The good batting average and outlier speed are already skills that are valuable for fantasy, and he could potentially become a five-category contributor if he's able to unlock more raw power.
At least so far in 2026, that looks like it could be the case. He absolutely dominated Double-A, to the tune of a .349/.481/.571 slash line with two homers and 12 steals in 18-games, earning him a promotion to Triple-A on April 28. The 21-year-old wasted no time making an impact at his new level, going 3-for-4 with a double and a triple in his first game.
"We see it all right there: contact, power speed. That's the A.J. Ewing Experience."

He picked up two hits in each of his next two games and even added another stolen base for good measure. The youngster is on fire and could push for a much quicker major league promotion than anyone expected if he keeps this up. The main problem is the Mets aren't exactly starving for new talent at the major league level, although Luis Robert did just land on the injured list on Thursday.
That's not to say they would immediately promote Ewing to fill the spot, as it's going to take more than three games at Triple-A to force a promotion. However, this is a player who's worth keeping an eye on for a call-up down the line.
He'd be a must-add in any roto fantasy league as an on-base machine who could instantly become one of the most prolific base stealers in the majors. Don't expect extreme power, but double-digit homers aren't out of the question, which would give him a great leg up on players such as Xavier Edwards and Chandler Simpson, who have similar profiles without the power.
Verdict: Monitor for later promotion
Caleb Bonemer, SS, Chicago White Sox
White Sox No. 3, Overall No. 53
Caleb Bonemer was already one of the quickest rising prospects in terms of perceived value, and he's showing no signs of slowing down. Drafted in the second round of the 2024 draft, he exploded onto the scene in his first year of pro baseball in 2025, slashing .281/.401/.473 with 12 homers, 64 RBI, 77 runs, and 29 steals in 107 games.
Most of the games came at Low-A, but he earned a promotion to High-A by the end of the season, which is where he began 2026. The 20-year-old took another immediate step forward in the new year, as he's slashing a ridiculous .289/.406/.783 with 11 homers in 22 games, which is close to matching last year's total in a fraction of the playing time.
People were already beginning to take notice before he demanded everyone's attention on April 28, blasting three home runs and driving in six runs in a single game. The White Sox already have plenty of young talent in the majors and in their system, and we can officially add Bonemer to the list of potential difference-makers.
Caleb Bonemer hit not one, not two, but THREE home runs last night in High-A.

You may be tempted to disregard the performance, as it's still all coming below the Double-A level, but that would be a mistake. The youngster has an elite approach and swing tendencies, boasting a 54.7% fly ball rate and 63.0% pull rate so far this season. When you combine that with his 55-grade power, it's easy to see a ton of home runs in his future.
While he's not someone to worry about picking up in redraft leagues this season, he is a rising asset in keeper and dynasty leagues. It wouldn't be shocking to see him considered a top-10 fantasy prospect by the time 2027 drafts come around.
Verdict: Fast-rising dynasty asset
