It was a tale of two seasons for Hector Santiago in 2015. After allowing just 28 earned runs in 108.1 innings prior to the All-Star break, the 28-year-old went on to post an unsightly 5.47 ERA in the second half. Those watching Santiago's stock can find encouragement in the fact that his strikeout rate (21%) hadn't been higher since 2012, but his HR/9 rate rose to a career-worst 1.4. He also continued to struggle with command, as evidenced by his 9.2% walk rate. Santiago received a career-high 32 starts last season, and could retain value if he is able to see a similar workload. It is worth noting, however, that his flyball rate has risen in every season since his debut, which could continue to put him at risk for inflated home run totals. Santiago's current ADP makes him a pitcher that can be grabbed off the waiver wire. He could be worth monitoring if he is able to retain a rotation spot.
