DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football Wednesday Slate (10/8/25)

Liberty University - NCAA College Team Logo Stock

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Wednesday (10/8/25) slate in Week 7. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

We have 56 college football games this week. The powers that be have given us a lot more college football DFS offerings this week. We have at least two games every day between now and Saturday. We start tonight with Weekday Conference USA. We're going to enjoy this! It worked for MACtion, so why not?

We start in Murfreesboro with FBS rookies Missouri State taking on the Blue Raiders. We'll end the night in El Paso with Liberty making a trip to the Sun Bowl.

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the DraftKings slate on 10/8/25, starting at 7:30 pm Eastern. I’ll give multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Ethan Vasko, Liberty ($8.3K)

It sounds like Vasko will play. We're still not sure about Jacob Clark for Missouri State. At any rate, this is a good matchup for the Flames. UTEP has apparently moved on from former five-star recruit Malachi Nelson, who threw four interceptions against Louisiana Tech. I wouldn't trust Locklear either, so expect a big win on the Liberty side.

That could lead to more of a ground attack for the Flames, especially if Vasko isn't expected to be completely healed until the offseason. Vasko has 142 rushing yards on the season, so he will likely get some work on the ground as well. He should be the most consistent quarterback on the slate.

Nicholas Vattiato, Middle Tennessee State ($6.6K)

The MTSU defense has caused their offense to play from behind in nearly every game this season. That should mean plenty of chances for Vattiato. Let's not get confused -- this is a bad team. Vattiato only mustered 104 passing yards in the loss to Austin Peay.

He has flirted with 300 yards in each of the last two games, so the offense is coming around. I'm a fan of Vattiato at this price, especially with no injury designation and the short leash on any UTEP quarterback.

Also consider these QBs:

  • Jacob Clark ($7.6K) or Deuce Bailey (7.3K), Missouri State
  • Skyler Locklear, UTEP ($7K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Shomari Lawrence, Missouri State ($6.8K)

The Missouri State offense has looked good in Conference USA play after playing the likes of USC and SMU out of conference. Lawrence has scored a touchdown in each of the last two games and could see a heavier load if Jacob Clark misses the game.

Middle Tennessee State is allowing 170 rushing yards per game and has allowed over 90 yards to each of the last three RB1s they have faced. We should see another strong game out of Lawrence here.

Caden Williams, Liberty ($4.1K)

Evan Dickens left the Old Dominion game with a concussion after fumbling on his own 5-yard line. That game was 11 days ago, so the Flames hope that Dickens can return. Concussions can be tricky, so we need to keep an eye on this. Dickens was in practice this week, but he was wearing a non-contact jersey.

That leads me to think that Dickens may be out. Williams ran for 92 yards on Old Dominion after the departure of Dickens, and the Flames likely won't need Dickens to win against UTEP. This feels like a situation where Dickens could play if the game were important enough. Even if he is cleared, I feel as if Williams will get enough work to be valuable.

Also consider these RBs

  • Jekail Middlebrook, Middle Tennessee State ($6.3K)
  • Hahsaun Wilson, UTEP ($5K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Kenny Odom, UTEP ($6.7K)

Odom was limited against Louisiana Tech thanks to poor QB play and was still recovering from an injury suffered against Texas. Odom was an absolute monster in the first two games of the season for the Miners, hauling in 14 passes for 221 yards and two scores. We should see a return to that in a game where UTEP will have to throw to have any chance to win.

Nahzae Cox, Middle Tennessee State ($6.3K)

Something can be said for a receiver who has a stable quarterback situation. We know that Vattiato is going to be throwing Cox the ball. Cox has scored at least 10 DraftKings points in every game this season, even in the first two games where Vattiato struggled. Now that Vattiato is playing well, we should see even more out of Cox.

Cam'ron Lacy, Middle Tennessee State ($4K)

Lacy is the ultimate boom-or-bust play. On one hand, he has two games with at least five receptions. On the other hand, he has three games without a reception. It's GPP or bust for Lacy, but the upside is massive.

Jmariyae Robinson, Missouri State ($3.7K)

Robinson has been productive with both quarterbacks throwing to him, so I don't think he'll be affected by the status of Clark. Robinson has at least two receptions in every game. We can work with that as a punt play.

Also consider these WRs:

  • Dash Luke, Missouri State ($5.8K)
  • Toric Goins Jr. UTEP ($5K)
  • Jamari Person, Liberty ($4.1K)

DraftKings CFB Stacks

Liberty vs. UTEP

The Liberty offense is centered on the passing game, but they also love to spread the ball around. I do think Vasko plays, so stacking him with Reese Smith and Jamari Person makes sense. I also want Caden Williams, no matter the status of Dickens. If Dickens plays, you can use both, but I think I would rather add Donte Lee Jr. for the fifth piece.

Lee is a bit of an enigma. He has at least one reception in every game, but his per-game average is boosted by touchdowns. If he doesn't get loose on a long pass, he won't be anywhere near what we need to have a shot at a takedown.

Missouri State vs. Middle Tennessee State

I can see an avenue for a game stack here. If only taking one side, I would choose the Bears. Despite the issue of Jacob Clark's injury, true freshman Deuce Bailey played well enough to use him. The Middle Tennessee defense has been a sore spot all season. Missouri State has been decent against teams that don't have three-letter acronyms.

Clark was seen on crutches after his injury against Western Kentucky. That was 11 days ago, and no update has been given. If you want to use a Missouri State stack, the QB needs to be a part of it. Make sure you can switch out on a moment's notice, leading up to the game, if you plan to run this.

Shomari Lawrence is a must-play in just about any lineup. Ramone Green Jr. gets enough work in the passing game to make him a valuable stack piece, and he's the minimum price. Not only that, but it will also set you apart from any other Missouri State stack and pave the way to use Ethan Vasko with this stack.

That only leaves room for two receivers. Dash Luke has to be played. Makai Cope is expected to return, but no one knows what the absence was for anyway. Who knows what we'll see? Robinson is a good pick, but going deeper into the barrel for Tristian Gardner could be the winning play. He has at least two receptions in every game and has scored twice.

Also consider these other stacks:

  • Middle Tennessee State
  • UTEP (GPP only)
