Ashton Daniels Has Juicy Week 1 Matchup
Florida State quarterback Ashton Daniels already has a game under his belt with a primetime tilt coming up on Monday night. Daniels performed well during a 34-17 Week 0 win over New Mexico State, which was his debut as the Seminoles' quarterback. The Auburn transfer completed 62% of his passes for 202 yards, a touchdown and an interception, adding 30 yards rushing and another TD on eight carries against NMSU. He now looks ahead to a matchup with a SMU defense that allowed 283.2 yards passing per game in 2025, which was second-most in the country a year ago. Daniels, who is QB44 according to RotoBaller's rankings, has a great chance to build upon a solid Game 1 as he hopes to help FSU keep pace with the Mustangs' high-powered offense.
