Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another exciting installment of the Injured Players to Stash for Fantasy Baseball series as we head into Week 13 of the 2025 MLB season. Today, we list the top 25 high-profile injured MLB players rostered in less than 65% of leagues worth stashing in your leagues, including names like Shane McClanahan, Ivan Herrera, Tylor Megill, and more.
Whether managers had to drop these players or they were left off rosters, you can capitalize on your league mates' mistakes. With some savvy moves, you can scoop up difference-makers before your opponents get the chance.
Below, I've listed my top 25 injured players in fantasy baseball in order of Yahoo! roster percentage. I've also highlighted five players to watch, as they could return sooner rather than later. Without further ado, let's get to the list!

Fantasy Baseball Players To Monitor Closely
Shane McClanahan, SP - Tampa Bay Rays

McClanahan has been one of the best pitchers in baseball since his major league debut in 2021, but injuries have kept him off the field often. The hype around McClanahan was building during draft season, then, suddenly evaporated when he left his final spring training start with a triceps injury.
Among pitchers with at least 400 innings pitched between 2021 and 2024, McClanahan ranks seventh in ERA, second in xFIP, and 12th in SIERA. The 28-year-old is also returning from Tommy John surgery, but demonstrated his signature filth and velocity before sustaining his triceps nerve issue.
The injury has kept the lefty from making his 2025 debut, but the most recent news surrounding McClanahan has been positive. The Rays pitcher recently met with a nerve specialist, and the meeting reportedly went very well.
Once a timeline is established for his return, fantasy managers should expect McClanahan to be a viable fantasy asset for the final months of the season. Stash him while his return date remains unclear.
Ivan Herrera, C/DH - St. Louis Cardinals

Herrera is dealing with a hamstring injury that is set to hold him out until the middle of July, but he was raking before he hit the injured list. On a points-per-game basis, the Cardinals' catcher ranked second, sandwiched between Cal Raleigh and Will Smith. Herrera's underlying stats also backed up the success he was having on the field.
Herrera's .286 xBA, .380 xwOBA, and .521 xSLG all rank in the 84th percentile or higher among qualified hitters this season. Having that kind of production from a catcher can give you a positional advantage in weekly leagues. Herrera hitting in the heart of a good Cardinals lineup is also good for his counting stats, making him a valuable asset in category leagues as well.
When he returns, Herrera can be a top-5 catcher on a per-game basis, and he's available in nearly 50% of leagues right now. Acquire him while you can because if he comes out swinging a hot bat upon his return, someone else will surely snatch him up.
Tylor Megill, SP - New York Mets

Megill was one of the hottest pitchers in the league to begin the season, but had taken a turn for the worse in recent weeks. While you never want to see a pitcher deal with an elbow injury, the time on the injured list may allow Megill to right the ship.
In his last eight outings before hitting the injured list, Megill issued three or more walks in half of those appearances. Walks are always going to be an issue for Megill as a pitcher who hunts for strikeouts, but that inability to work quick innings has come back to bite him.

Megill has made 14 starts this season and has only completed six innings twice. That said, he possesses major strikeout upside and has a high chance to pick up wins pitching for the Mets.
Megill's season-long underlying stats suggest he's better than he's been so far this season, and with some positive regression, he should pitch to his potential, returning from this injury. Scoop him up and hope that a second-half breakout is on the horizon.
Jake Burger, 1B/3B/DH - Texas Rangers

Burger is one of the most underrated power hitters in baseball, and his home run totals in the last two seasons prove that. An oblique injury is a tough one for a hitter to come back from, but Burger's upside makes him worth stashing in the meantime.
The Rangers slugger has mashed at least 29 home runs in each of the last two years while maintaining a .250 batting average. Burger has a lot of swing-and-miss in his game, but he more than makes up for it with the power.
The 29-year-old is having a slow start to the season, but he still owns an 85th percentile Barrel% and an 86th percentile hard-hit rate. Burger is a streaky hitter, and I anticipate a scorching hot streak coming when the weather starts to heat up.
Burger is an easy player to stash because the home runs are coming, and the counting stats should follow if the Rangers' offense as a whole heats up as well.
Max Meyer, SP - Miami Marlins

Meyer had one of the best starts this season when he mowed down the Cincinnati Reds with 14 strikeouts in six shutout innings. The rest of Meyer's season has not been so picture-perfect, but he could still be worth a stash.

After rattling off that dazzling start, the young Marlin reeled off three straight starts allowing five earned runs. In his last start before hitting the injured list, Meyer allowed four runs on 10 hits to the Colorado Rockies in Miami.
While his recent run of starts has been putrid, it is unknown how much his hip injury affected his mechanics in those poor outings. That said, this hip injury appears to be a concerning one, considering Meyer is visiting a specialist.
Meyer is simply a luxury stash if you have the space on your roster. If and when he returns, Meyer could return to that 14-strikeout form, and that would be invaluable. However, that is the best-case scenario.
