Jordan Walker continues to heat up and should be rostered in all leagues after slashing .381/.435/.952 with four home runs and nine RBI over his last five games. Jeffrey Springs flirted with a no-hitter against the Yankees on Thursday and now owns a 1.47 ERA, 0.76 WHIP, and 15:6 K:BB across 18 1/3 innings in his first three starts.

Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Outlooks
Some of the top waiver wire names include Jeffrey Springs, Reynaldo Lopez, Taj Bradley, Jordan Walker, Riley O'Brien, and more. Read some of the waiver wire outlooks below:
Jeffrey Springs, SP, Athletics
Athletics starting pitcher Jeffrey Springs looked untouchable on the mound during Thursday's outing against the New York Yankees. Springs made it through six innings without allowing a hit. Unfortunately for him, Ben Rice smacked a single in the seventh inning to ruin the no-hit bid.
Springs would finish his day going seven shutout innings, allowing one hit, and striking out six batters. The southpaw now holds a 1.47 ERA with 15 strikeouts across 18 1/3 innings of work this season. His next scheduled outing is against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday. Springs has looked strong against some tough lineups to begin the season. The 33-year-old is worth a look as a streaming option ahead of his next matchup.
Reynaldo Lopez, SP, Atlanta Braves
After filing an appeal on his seven-game suspension from Major League Baseball, Atlanta Braves right-hander Reynaldo Lopez reached a settlement with the league and will have his suspension reduced to five games, effective immediately, according to Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Lopez threw a pitch up and in to Los Angeles Angels outfielder/designated hitter Jorge Soler in the fifth inning on Tuesday night, and Soler took exception, charging the mound. Lopez and Soler threw haymakers at each other before the benches cleared to break up the brawl at Angel Stadium.
With the reduced suspension, Lopez will not end up missing a start early in the year. He'll take the ball next Tuesday against the division-rival Miami Marlins, where he should be started by fantasy managers. The 32-year-old former reliever was a first-time All-Star in 2024 in his first year in Atlanta in his return to a full-time starting role.
Lopez made only one start in 2025 due to shoulder issues, but he's healthy again and is off to a fine start in three outings so far, posting a 1.15 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 13:5 K:BB through three starts.
Taj Bradley, SP, Minnesota Twins
Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Taj Bradley earned his second win of the season on Tuesday, allowing just one earned run across 6 1/3 innings in his team's 4-2 win over the Detroit Tigers. Bradley allowed six hits but did not walk a batter and struck out 10. The 25-year-old former top prospect is off to a strong start to his 2026 campaign, as he's recorded a 1.08 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with 22 strikeouts across his first three starts (16 2/3 innings).
Bradley is averaging a career-best 97.7 mph on his fastball and has yet to allow a home run, a major development considering he owns an elevated 1.43 HR/9 across 402 career MLB innings. Raw arm talent has never been Bradley's issue, so the young right-hander could finally be putting it all together in his first full season with the Twins. He profiles as a prime waiver-wire target in most fantasy formats.
Jordan Walker, OF, St. Louis Cardinals
St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jordan Walker has enjoyed an early breakout in the 2026 season, emerging as a must-add waiver wire target with significant upside. The 23-year-old is slashing .381/.435/.952 with four home runs and nine RBI over his last five games. Overall, Walker is hitting .295 with five home runs and a .454 wOBA in 49 plate appearances this season.
Walker has always been a power threat, but he has displayed a major uptick in BB% from 6.6% last year to 16.3% this year. He has cut down on strikeouts and taken more walks, all positive signs for the young talent in a limited sample size. These early underlying metrics point to extremely high potential for a breakout year, and fantasy managers should add Walker as soon as possible.
Riley O'Brien, RP, St. Louis Cardinals
St. Louis Cardinals right-handed reliever Riley O'Brien picked up his third save on Tuesday, allowing an unearned run while striking out two in the 10th inning to record his third save of the season in a 7-6 win over the Washington Nationals. The Cardinals' bullpen has been a bit of a mystery box to start the season, with O'Brien, JoJo Romero, Ryne Stanek, and Matt Svanson all rumored at one point either during spring training or to start the season to be the Cardinals' most likely closer.
O'Brien appears to have taken the front seat in that race, with three saves on the season and 7 1/3 shutout innings, a 0.55 WHIP, and seven strikeouts. The 31-year-old pitcher closed six games for the Cardinals in 2025, but outside of that, he has not had much experience closing, so if he truly has taken over, fantasy managers should expect the leash to be fairly short. For leagues that prioritize saves, O'Brien would be a strong pickup to see if he retains the closer job and earns some more opportunities in the meantime.
