DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (4/16/18): NBA DFS Lineups

I'll be straight with you, even though two game slates aren't the best for DFS, they are my absolute favorite. It's all about putting the right player in the right place at the right time. For a brief recap and slight introduction into both game two's, the Warriors are still the Warriors and the 76ers dominated after having a record setting performance. As far as the Warriors-Spurs game is concerned, there was no real trend other than the Warriors just being better. Play the superstars and it's not looking like the Spurs will even be able to steal one game if LaMarcus Aldridge doesn't over-produce. Just remember, it's playoffs and Aldridge is notorious for folding at these times. This year look s no different, but I am positive Aldridge will post a 30-burger at least once this series, I'm going with Game three.

As far as Heat-76ers game, I just can't see a sweep and the Heat are not going to get steamrolled. Their lack of a superstar and reliant offense has been exposed, only because the Heat needed late game scoring and didn't get it. It's going to be tough to just find that type of offense but if there's any team I like going against the odds, the Heat are top three. The Heat will steal a home game from the 76ers and although I was wrong about the last one, I don't know if Philadelphia has another record-setting performance in them to drown out the increased Heat efforts.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/16/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings. DraftKings DFS Guards

Dejounte Murray - PG, at GSW ($5,300)

At second glance, this actually seems like the biggest busts out of all the Spurs point guards. Tony Parker has a VERY attractive price I would recommend rostering, but if you can spend up for Dejounte Murray, do it. His athleticism gives him a huge advantage when it comes to minutes and production, but his turnovers and lack of consistent offense cause a problem. The Spurs need Murray's defense and length, but if he's not scoring they will resort to Parker and Patty Mills is no time at all. Murray has upside having the starting job, but after only taking six shots and scoring eight points, it's hard to see any upside outside of hustle stats. Just don't be mad when he doesn't score but six points and grabs double-digit rebounds and a few defensive stats.

Tyler Johnson - PG/SG, at PHI ($4,200)

All in all, I wouldn't say Tyler Johnson had a bad game, more he didn't hit all of his shots and unfortunately, the Heat needed THAT type of effort. Absolutely none of the loss falls on Johnson's shoulders, but the way he finished game one, expect him to carry that momentum into tonight. Without anyone willing to generate offense with consistency, Johnson took it upon himself to get something going. Luckily for the Heat, Johnson is a good enough shooter to rely on his jumpshot and he instills emotion in his team. I like this pick regardless of momentum, simply because the team rallies around Johnson and other outside shooters. They wan't him to hit early, so don't be surprised if his 18 minutes tread closer to 25-28 tonight.

 

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Robert Covington - SF/PF, vs MIA ($5,900)

The Heat defense should not be taken lightly but I have little reason to believe they are going to focus on limiting Robert Covington. He had a well-rounded game last outing, but the shooters really stole the spotlight. Chances are that J.J. Redick, Ersan Ilyasova, and Marco Belinelli won't be as efficient tonight and Covington will be forced to pick up some of the slack. Even when Embiid returns, Covington's minutes might go down, but he'll have better spacing and better looks.

Kelly Olynyk - PF/C, at PHI ($6,100)

Kelly Olynyk was on a mission in game one and playoff Kelly has arrived. Without any other real offensive studs looking to score, Olynyk look determined to take it into his own hands. His skillset is hard to defend, but there is always the chance he goes cold from the field and it entirely hinders his overall production. Olynyk was getting to his spots under the basket which make me think it won't be a problem, but seeing how the Heat frontcourt was in shambles last game, both Olynyk and the 76ers Dario Saric have similar prices with similar upside.

 

DraftKings DFS Centers

Draymond Green - C, vs SAS ($7,700)

There are not many options at center tonight and while I wanted to go with Pau Gasol, it's hard to be set on a player who looks completely outmatched by his opponent. Gasol doesn't fit the Warriors style but at the same time, his production can be a thorn in the side of any team. If Gasol can hit and the rest of the Spurs are operating on even half a cylinder, Gasol should be producing in the post. Before I forget to talk about Draymond Green, all of this is more or less pointless. The Warriors are too fast for the Spurs pace and Gasol is a big hindrance to the speed of the game. Green should have his work cut out for him facing against a slower veteran and more of his effort will be exerted on offense. Green is a very consistent player so look for him to repeat his game one performance.
