Romeo Doubs, Patriots, Fantasy Football Outlook
Romeo Doubs signed a four-year, $68 million contract with the New England Patriots this offseason. Doubs' time as New England's No. 1 wide receiver was short-lived when the Patriots acquired A.J. Brown from the Eagles in June. The 26-year-old is expected to play primarily out of the slot for the Patriots and should see more favorable matchups, as defenses will focus on shutting down Brown.
Doubs never logged a 1,000-yard season or even a 100-yard game during the regular season in his tenure at Green Bay, but balled out when it mattered by averaging 123.7 receiving yards in four playoff games. The Patriots have a lot of success with receivers playing out of the slot and recently let go of Stefon Diggs, who racked up 1,103 yards and four touchdowns while lining up inside the slot 45-50% of the time last season.
#Patriots QB Drake Maye on Romeo Doubs’ ability to win at the catch point:
“It’s very comforting seeing that from a receiver. Going up and making a play up top. It’s his ball or nobody’s… It’s been his ball more times than not.”

Doubs is set as New England's No. 2 wide receiver, but will compete with not only Brown, but Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins, DeMario Douglas, and Kyle Williams for targets. RotoBaller has Doubs ranked as WR53 and 122 overall, which aligns with his Sleeper ADP of 123. Coming off a massive contract, the Patriots will find ways to get Doubs the ball, but he is more of a weekly FLEX play given the competition for targets and the Pats' tougher schedule heading into 2026.
Rashid Shaheed, Seahawks, Fantasy Football Outlook
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Rashid Shaheed experienced two distinct chapters in 2025, totaling 59 catches for 687 yards and two receiving scores. However, 44-499-2 of that line came in nine games with the Saints, which was good for the WR31 in half-PPR formats. Seattle then scooped him in a trade, but his involvement was limited to 15 scoreless catches over the final nine contests. Shaheed's biggest impact with the Seahawks came as a returner, though that doesn't help most fantasy managers.
Rashid Shaheed to be Major Factor in 2026 https://t.co/WQHVkBVtEB
— RotoBaller NFL (@RotoBallerNFL) August 13, 2026
The skill set that made him a WR3 on the Saints didn't suddenly evaporate. It is reasonable to think that Seattle, which gave him a three-year deal worth $51 million this offseason, has bigger plans now that they've had a year to integrate him into the system. Their rushing offense is also a bigger question mark with Zach Charbonnet recovering from knee surgery and Kenneth Walker III in Kansas City. While the defense can carry games, the offense should get more aerial as well. The speedster's RotoBaller rank around pick 145 is close to the summer 138 ADP (WR56), so there's room to profit for those who believe his role will expand.
Jalen Nailor, Raiders, Fantasy Football Outlook
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jalen Nailor finally finds himself with a good chance at seeing consistent involvement on the field following four years as an ancillary piece in Minnesota. He only had 12 total catches between 21 games in 2022-23, but grew into a 57-858-10 receiving line across 34 games in 2024-25. He only topped 50 yards once in 2026, but he made it count, securing five catches for 124 yards and a score in Week 10. The Raiders will either be led by rookie Fernando Mendoza or veteran Kirk Cousins, neither of whom is a bankable asset.
I fear we’re all still sleepin’ on Jalen Nailor https://t.co/lA3CbaGAqd

This is offset by Nailor joining a weak WR corps, where talent can readily make him the No. 1 WR, even if he'd still be behind TE Brock Bowers. There's offseason buzz saying that Nailor is going to be the Jaxon Smith-Njigba in Klint Kubiak's new LV offense. That's a 99th-percentile runout, but the point stands that there is little resistance to the opportunity. His WR61/Pick 160 ADP leaves plenty of room for profit.
Tre' Harris, Chargers, Fantasy Football Outlook
There probably won't be a rookie who gets more of a "pass" for a poor 2025 campaign than Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Tre' Harris. After the team signed Keenan Allen in training camp, Allen, Ladd McConkey, and former first-round pick Quentin Johnston were entrenched as the team's top-three wide receivers. Harris played north of 65% of the snaps in just three games, and he managed just 30 catches (on 43 targets) for the season. Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh was complimentary of Harris' blocking and versatility after a Week 6 win in Miami, but Harris saw just 32 total targets after that contest.
Allen signed with the Colts, which clears the way for the former Ole Miss star in three-receiver sets, and Johnston's historical inconsistency could open the door to a legitimate target share. Harris was best known as a prospect for a hyper-productive 2024 campaign, during which he set the FBS record for yards per route run (5.12) among players who ran at least 200 routes in a season, according to Pro Football Focus. So, it was surprising to see him rarely pop at just 10.8 yards per reception and one total touchdown. The Chargers' internal chaos, including offensive line injuries and then OC Greg Roman calling plays, didn't help.

Now, he'll look to carve out a role in new playcaller Mike McDaniel's offense, which produced massive seasons for Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle in Miami. McConkey and Johnston aren't the only competition; L.A.'s tight end duo, Oronde Gadsden II and recently signed David Njoku, will also demand their share of looks. Perhaps due to the team's immense depth at pass catcher, RotoBaller's PPR rankings (219th overall) leave Harris with an undraftable outlook, but you also can't rule him out entirely from the chance to lead the Bolts in total targets. Receivers with rookie years as quiet as Harris' don't typically pan out. Still, the talent, draft capital, and circumstances at play could result in the 6-foot-3" wideout becoming an all-time exception.
Adonai Mitchell, Jets, Fantasy Football Outlook
Former second-round pick Adonai Mitchell was on the verge of getting branded with the dreaded "bust" label after catching just 32 passes in 25 games with the Indianapolis Colts. Then he was sent to the New York Jets at the trade deadline last year in the blockbuster that landed Indianapolis corner Sauce Gardner, and that gave Mitchell a new lease on life. He was a decent contributor for the Jets during the second half of last season, catching 24 balls for 301 yards and two touchdowns, including a game where he posted an 8-102-1 line versus the Atlanta Falcons.
Mitchell enters the 2026 campaign as New York's WR2 behind Garrett Wilson, and he has a more capable quarterback throwing to him in Geno Smith. The bad news is that the Jets used first-round draft picks on tight end Kenyon Sadiq and wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr., so Mitchell's spot in the passing attack pecking order could drastically change depending on how quickly these rookies make their marks. Mitchell is definitely a boom-or-bust fantasy pick. He could have the best year of his career with regular playing time and possibly put up 55 receptions for 800 yards.

However, he could also be a fantasy non-factor again and finish with 300-500 yards, too, if Sadiq and Cooper surpass him on the target totem pole. Mitchell is having a strong camp and continues to have a great rapport with quarterback Geno Smith. At his current ADP, Mitchell is worth the late-round flier and is ranked 176th overall in the latest RotoBaller rankings.
