Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice (knee) was a revelation for fantasy managers to start 2024. He broke out in a big way, smashing his ADP of 68 (around the WR30) and scoring 17.3, 18.5, and 29.1 PPR fantasy points to start the season.
Unfortunately, it all came crashing down when his quarterback, Patrick Mahomes II, collided with his knee while trying to tackle a defender that had intercepted one of his passes. Rice's knee bent backward and he was pulled from the game. He didn't return to action.
So should Rashee Rice be dropped in fantasy leagues?

Should I Drop Rashee Rice in Fantasy Football?
He is not coming back this season. As hard as it can be to accept, and understandably so, Rice's knee injury was so severe that it required season-ending surgery to repair. It would be a huge risk to his long-term health and probably result in re-injury were he to return to the football field.
Sources: #Chiefs WR Rashee Rice underwent successful LCL surgery today with Dr. Cooper and will miss the remainder of the regular season. A full recovery is expected.
There was also a repair done to Rice’s hamstring tendon, and I’m told there was no structural damage or tears to… pic.twitter.com/pdGOCPWpT1

Rice tore his LCL and damaged his hamstring on the play. He also damaged his posterolateral corner, and surgery was required to repair that ailment as well.
Rashee Rice had surgery on his posterolateral corner (PLC), per Coach Reid, who added the following:
"It's probably the same result you would get timewise for an ACL. It takes a while...He'll get into his rehab and get rolling on that."

It's over for him in 2024.
Who Should I Pickup in Week 7 Fantasy Football?
Do whatever you can to pick up New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas. The clear No. 1 option for quarterback Drake Maye had an excellent game right away and had the potential to score even more. He scored 21.2 PPR fantasy points in Week 6 and is a coverage nightmare for opposing defenses.
Drake Maye threw to DeMario Douglas on an intermediate in-breaker at least once each quarter
Q1: INT'd high throw from clean pocket on 3rd down
Q2: DPI before end of H1
Q3.1: Wide on 3rd down
Q3.2: Behind but catchable for big play
Q4: Hits Pop in stride for long TD on 3rd down pic.twitter.com/lIe0tgyMna— Taylor Kyles (@tkyles39) October 14, 2024
"Pop" Douglas' upside is tremendous. You can read a deep dive into it here. He should be the top priority pickup for receivers currently available in less than 20% of leagues.
If you don't have a high priority for waivers in rolling leagues or don't have much FAAB to spend, Washington Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown could be an excellent free-agent pickup. He wasn't able to play in Week 5, and he's been overshadowed for much of his career, but he's the clear No. 2 receiver for the Commies right now.
Very nice route from Noah Brown, who has been way better to start this season than I was expecting.
Thought he'd be a depth guy, but he's a legitimate piece on this offense.#RaiseHail pic.twitter.com/4qVI8M72J8
