DeAndre Hopkins fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit DeAndre Hopkins for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Sit In All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR5
ANALYSIS: DeAndre Hopkins is hampered by a knee sprain (now clarified by Hopkins as not a tear) and played 27% of the snaps in Week 1. The veteran wideout is off the injury report for Week 2, but that doesn't mean he should return to fantasy football lineups.

#Titans DeAndre Hopkins said his knee injury is a sprain similar to a sprained ankle. It's actually not a tear. Hopkins said three times that it was sprain.

Will Levis completed 19 of 32 attempts for 127 yards and tossed two interceptions against Chicago in Week 1. The Bears have a solid secondary, led by cornerback Jaylon Johnson, but they don't yet match the talent of Tennessee's Week 2 opponent, the New York Jets.
The Jets allowed five touchdowns to wide receivers in 2023 and did not let Deebo Samuel Sr. or Brandon Aiyuk find paydirt in Week 1. The 49ers' offense is far better than the Titans, meaning fantasy managers can't count on Hopkins to find the endzone either. Calvin Ridley is the WR1 in Tennessee. Without the volume, touchdowns will make or break Hopkins every week.
It would be a surprise to see Levis throw the ball 32 times again. Head coach Brian Callahan joked that the Titans would have defeated the Bears if they had punted on first-and-10 every possession. The Bears escaped due to a blocked punt, and an interception returned for a touchdown.
Expect a Titans' attack centered around Tony Pollard and the running game. It's the clear weak point of the Jets' defense, and Pollard ran very well (5.1 yards per carry) in Week 1. Sit DeAndre Hopkins.
