Ethan Davis Sits Out Final Preseason Scrimmage
Tennessee tight end Ethan Davis (lower body) sat out Saturday's final preseason scrimmage as his absence from fall camp continued. Davis has been sidelined since early August with a lower-body injury, though tight ends coach Alec Abeln previously said the issue was not serious and that Tennessee was being cautious with him. Davis is coming off a 2025 season in which he caught 21 passes for 257 yards and two touchdowns in nine games. DaSaahn Brame has gotten added work while Davis has been out, and the extended layoff is worth tracking with the season opener against Furman set for Sept. 5. RotoBaller ranks Davis as TE19 in its latest CFF rankings.
