Week 2 Kicker Streamers and Starts - 2018 Fantasy Tiers, Rankings

Week 1 is in the books and fantasy players everywhere have officially started panicking. Two of the top five kickers from this week were largely unowned heading into this week, while other fantasy mainstays fell by the wayside.

Week 2 kicks off with everyone scrambling to pick up breakout stars. For those that stream kickers from week to week, there are a few options available to you. However, the majority of the top options this week are established talents on good offenses.

Make sure to stay tuned to weather updates this week for any last-minute changes. Players like Chris Boswell were scratches due to weather last week, but he could be available this week. Always remember to minimize your risk while maximizing your outcome, and you'll do just fine.

Week 2 Kickers To Start & Stream: Tiers & Rankings

Tier 1 NFL Kickers

1. Wil Lutz (NO) vs TB
2. Justin Tucker (BAL) @ BUF
3. Greg Zuerlein (LAR) vs ARI
4. Ryan Succop (KC) @ PIT
5. Brandon McManus (DEN) vs OAK

Despite the loss, the New Orleans Saints offense was buzzing, and that should stay true this week against the Cleveland Browns. Tucker is a consistent top-five option, and he should have more opportunities against a tougher Cincinnati Bengals team. Zuerlein has another strong matchup and is in must-start territory each week. The Kansas City Chiefs offense was humming last week, and the Pittsburgh Steelers should be better on offense - shootout potential is there. The Oakland Raiders defense doesn't look stout, and the Denver Broncos look vastly improved with Case Keenum under center, which gives McManus more opportunities, especially for longer field goals in the thin Denver air.

Tier 2 NFL Kickers

6. Jason Myers (NYJ) vs MIA
7. Jake Elliott (PHI) @ TB
8. Dustin Hopkins (WAS) vs IND
9. Josh Lambo (JAX) vs NE
10. Ka'imi Fairbairn (HOU) @ TEN

The New York Jets lit up the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football, and they get the Miami Dolphins at home. Myers was a surprisingly good start and should have another good week. Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliot gets an easier matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a low-scoring affair against the Atlanta Falcons. Dustin Hopkins should see more action against a soft Indianapolis Colts defense. The Jacksonville Jaguars game could be low-scoring, but it should have quite a few opportunities for Lambo to make his mark. Ka'Imi Fairbairn gets the Tennessee Titans who looked disjointed last week, and the Houston Texans should have a lot more scoring opportunities this week.

Tier 3 NFL Kickers

11. Daniel Carlson (MIN) @ GB
12. Mason Crosby (GB) vs MIN
13. Stephen Gostkowski (NE) @ JAX
14. Robbie Gould (SF) vs DET
15. Cody Parkey (CHI) vs SEA

The Minnesota Vikings defense has given Aaron Rodgers fits in the past, which could give Carlson more opportunities. Rodgers is also magical, so Crosby will be in scoring position a few times. Despite the Jaguars elite defense, the New England Patriots are going to get Gostkowski in field goal range multiple times. The San Francisco 49ers struggled last week against the Vikings, but the Detroit Lions aren't quite on that level. Gould should be much more active this week. The Seattle Seahawks have fallen far from their Legion of Boom heyday so Parkey and the Bears offense should build on their success from last week.

Kickers to Avoid

Stephen Hauschka of the Buffalo Bills was the team's lone scorer last week. While the Los Angeles Chargers defense isn't quite at the Baltimore Ravens level, it's still pretty good. Josh Allen will have to make a lot of progress this week to make it a more competitive game this week.

Matt Bryant of the Atlanta Falcons draws another tough defense this week. The Carolina Panthers looked very strong shutting down the Dallas Cowboys. While the Falcons offense is more highly regarded, Matt Ryan and offensive Steve Sarkisian still have some work to do.

Mike Nugent of the Bengals draws one of the top defensive performers from week one in the Ravens. The Bengals had a couple splash plays, but the Ravens and Colts are very different units. Andy Dalton could turn the ball over once or twice Thursday night.
