Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups (QB, RB, WR, TE): Free Agent Adds Include Justin Herbert, Isaac Guerendo, Quentin Johnston, Demarcus Robinson, Taysom Hill

Quentin Johnston - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

John's Week 10 waiver wire pickups, fantasy football adds, and sleepers ahead of Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season. Free agent QB, RB, WR, and TE waiver wire targets.

RotoBaller's Week 10 fantasy football waiver wire pickups article for 2024 will cover everyone you need to know that could help your team find replacements for injured players, fill in for players you want to drop, or even help you win a championship. Every week, new players are breaking out.

From bench stashes in the deepest of leagues to potential league-winners or at least weekly starting players, there are a ton of options on the waiver wire each week, and playing your cards right can help you save your struggling team or boost your already great team to even bigger heights.

So who are this week's best waiver wire pickups, and how would they fit into your roster if you were able to add them?

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Quarterbacks - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire for Week 10

High-End QB2s that could become QB1s

Daniel Jones, New York Giants - 17% Rostered

While Jones hasn't been the most consistent quarterback, he's shown that he can deliver solid performances. He scored 23.4 fantasy points against the Washington Commanders in Week 9 by throwing for 174 yards and two touchdowns as well as rushing for 54 yards and a touchdown.

He has a solid pass-catching group now with WRs Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson and tight end Theo Johnson. He's also getting help from the run game with RB Tyrone Tracy Jr.'s emergence. His rushing upside also gives him a higher ceiling in fantasy.

Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets - 48% Rostered

Rodgers finally appears to have built a solid connection with his top wide receiver, Garrett Wilson. In addition, WR Davante Adams had his first good game as a Jet, catching seven passes on 11 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown.

Either way, New York has a cakewalk of a schedule against opposing defenses coming up. They'll face several of the bottom 10 defensive units in the league. Expect better numbers from ARod moving forward.

Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers - 46% Rostered

Hallelujah, the Chargers are finally throwing the ball more, which means Herbert can finally be unleashed. He threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns including an impressive missile to WR Quentin Johnston for a long touchdown. He also threw a tuddie to WR Josh Palmer in Week 9.

He's previously been a high-end QB2 with QB1 upside, but it hasn't happened this year. Until now. Expect him to be picked up in a lot of leagues, and now's a good time to snag him.

Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins - 55% Rostered

Though his team has suffered multiple narrow losses lately, Tagovailoa has commanded the offense well and scored 17.5 fantasy points in Week 9. He threw for 231 yards and two touchdowns while rushing twice for three yards. This offense may not be what it once was, but Miami's QB1 can still operate efficiently.

If he continues playing like this, especially against pass defenses as good as the Buffalo Bills, he should have a spot on most fantasy rosters.

Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks - 57% Rostered

Like the Dolphins, the Seahawks lost heartbreakingly to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 9, when QB Matthew Stafford threw a game-winning touchdown to WR Demarcus Robinson in overtime. Still, Smith operates in a very pass-heavy offense and was able to put together a respectable fantasy day.

Turnovers have been an issue, but they don't affect fantasy scoring as much as passing touchdowns, so as long as Seattle keeps airing it out, he'll be fine on rosters. He'll also get his top receiver, DK Metcalf (knee), back from injury soon. He has a bye week in Week 10, but it's worth it to stash him in the meantime.

Backups for your Main QB

Drake Maye, New England Patriots - 22% Rostered

The gaffes are the biggest thing holding back Maye. He's a solid quarterback with a big arm and plenty of rushing upside, but he hasn't done enough to overcome the plethora of turnovers he produces (three in Week 9). He's a wild player to watch. He should be able to clean things up with more experience, though.

He doesn't have a ton of help from his pass-catching group, which is arguably one of the worst in the league. He can make magic happen with his legs by buying time and rushing for big gains and touchdowns. He rushed for 95 yards in Week 9.

Bo Nix, Denver Broncos - 44% Rostered

Nix didn't have a great passing day against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9, but he showed off his versatility yet again. We'd already seen his wheels at work -- he's rushed 52 times for 259 yards and four touchdowns so far this season. But he caught a touchdown this week, showing his skills in yet another area.

While it's not reasonable to expect him to do this every game, this man can scamper. Rushing yards count for 2.5 times as many fantasy points as passing yards do, and rush TDs are worth 1.5 pass TDs. That makes a big difference in fantasy football.

Other Players to Consider: Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons - 67% Rostered, Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams - 57% Rostered, Russell Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers - 24% Rostered, Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints - 18% Rostered, Joe Flacco, Indianapolis Colts - 24% Rostered

Running Backs - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire for Week 10

Highest-Upside Handcuffs

Ray Davis, Buffalo Bills - 25% Rostered

Davis put up an impressive 17 PPR fantasy points in Week 9, but most of that was from a 63-yard catch and run for a score. He should be rostered by all managers of lead running back James Cook and actually outscored him significantly last game. We could see this backfield become a committee at some point.

Zach Charbonnet, Seattle Seahawks - 57% Rostered

As lead RB Kenneth Walker III stacks more healthy games, Charbs should be dropped in more leagues. If you have Walker on your team, you should probably have Charb, but in case you don't, it's a good idea to pick him up. He handles nearly all of the team's RB snaps when Walker misses time, and that's an incredibly valuable role to have for fantasy football.

Justice Hill, Baltimore Ravens - 33% Rostered

Hill once again showed off his utility as a receiver by catching three passes for 43 yards in his team's win against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. He added five carries for 15 yards. Even when rookie Keaton Mitchell (knee) returns, Hill will have a role in the receiving game, making him a solid player to have on rosters in PPR leagues.

Trey Benson, Arizona Cardinals - 23% Rostered

Eight carries for 31 yards (and a touchdown) and one reception for 18 yards was what Benson brought to the table in Week 9. Not bad for a backup. The Cardinals' RB1 role is incredibly valuable, and we've seen lead-back James Conner thrive in it. It looks like the rookie would do a great job if he were to take his place.

Emanuel Wilson, Green Bay Packers - 8% Rostered

Wilson was able to vulture a touchdown away from lead back Josh Jacobs. As long as rookie MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) remains on IR, Wilson will be the primary backup to the starter and a solid handcuff option. If he's trusted to rush for touchdowns, he can likely be trusted to handle the lead role if needed.

Other Options To Consider If Available

Wide Receivers - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire for Week 10

Potential League Winner (In The Right Scenario)

Demarcus Robinson, Los Angeles Rams - 21% Rostered

With the continuing health issues of star WR Puka Nacua (knee) and the general injury-prone nature of fellow star WR Cooper Kupp, Demarcus Robinson could go on a streak like he did last year. He was targeted nine times in Week 9, many after the ejection of Nacua, showing us what his role could be if one of his two fellow top team WRs were to go down.

It could also take the extended absence of rookie Jordan Whittington (shoulder) to make this happen, but stranger things have occurred.

Solid WR3

Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers - 28% Rostered

He was dropped in many leagues once his early-season touchdown streak ended and dropped in even more leagues after he missed two games due to injury, but he appears to be back. The Chargers are passing the ball more, and that's benefitted all the WRs, but Johnston's touchdown-happy nature is huge for fantasy.

He still has a problem with drops, but if he keeps making huge gains and scoring TDs, that might not matter much.

WR4/WR5

DeMario Douglas, New England Patriots - 36% Rostered

He didn't have a great game in Week 9, but he showed his PPR-scam potential at least. He was targeted nine times on Sunday, catching seven passes for 35 yards. It wasn't the most productive day, but the Patriots offense struggled against a solid Tennessee Titans defense.

His shiftiness in open space and his ability to beat single-man coverage has made him the preferred target of the rookie quarterback Maye.

Side note: receiver and tight end don't have a lot of great options on the waiver wire this week. Consequences of PPR being the preferred format in fantasy football -- WRs and TEs are a lot harder to find.

Other Options To Consider If Available

Tight Ends - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire for Week 10

Must-Adds

Mike Gesicki, Cincinnati Bengals, 20% Rostered

In games that WR Tee Higgins misses for the Bengals, Gesicki has played lights-out. He caught five passes on six targets for 100 yards and two touchdowns in Week 9 as Cincinnati blew out the opposing Las Vegas Raiders.

His griddy needs some work, but his receiving skill doesn't. He's in an odd position and is a handcuff to Higgins of sorts, but his upside is tremendous.

Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints, 31% Rostered

Another player whose upside isn't tapped fully when his team is healthy, Hill had a big day in the absences of backup RBs Jamaal Williams (groin) and Kendre Miller (hamstring). Miller was placed on injured reserve, meaning he won't be able to play for at least the next four games.

He gained 60 total yards and scored a rushing touchdown in Week 9. He's unique at the tight end position in that most of his value comes from rushing yards and touchdowns. He doesn't pass the ball like he used to. He did have a season-high five targets on Sunday.

TE2s To Consider

Theo Johnson, New York Giants  - 5% Rostered

The rookie had his biggest game of the season in Week 9, scoring 14.1 PPR fantasy points by catching three of his six targets for 51 yards and a touchdown. He did most of his damage on a long touchdown catch late in the fourth quarter Sunday.

He may take over the starting TE job for his team. Rookies at his position don't typically see much success, but as we saw with Lions TE Sam LaPorta last year, that could be changing.

Team Defenses (D/ST) - Waiver Wire Streamers for Week 10

  • Detroit Lions - 49% Rostered (at Houston Texans)
  • Chicago Bears - 41% Rostered (vs New England Patriots)
  • Atlanta Falcons - 10% Rostered (at New Orleans Saints)

Kickers - Waiver Wire Streamers for Week 10

  • Cairo Santos, Chicago Bears - 8% Rostered (vs New England Patriots)
  • Blake Grupe, New Orleans Saints - 13% Rostered (at Atlanta Falcons)
  • Jason Sanders, Miami Dolphins - 12% Rostered (at Los Angeles Rams)
  • Chad Ryland, Arizona Cardinals - 3% Rostered (vs New York Jets)
