Week 6 Stream Team - Free Agent and Bye-Week Streamers

Kipp Heisterman picks his All-Stream Team for Week 6. These fantasy football free agents could be valuable streamers and bye-week waiver wire pickups or adds.

Now that bye weeks are in full swing; streaming becomes a more viable and almost necessary strategy. Knowing who to add and when to start them could be the ultimate difference-maker in a weekly matchup. Making the right streaming decisions throughout the season could easily be the difference in winning a championship.

Each week, I will create a team of streamers for you to choose from. They will be broken down based on ownership levels and league size. I will make specific recommendations for 14, 12, and 10-team leagues to give you the most guidance possible when selecting a streamer. 14-team streamers will be players with ownership levels around 15%, 12-teamers will be around 30%, and 10-teamers will be around the 45% mark. Keep in mind that just because a player is listed as a streamer for a particular league size, it does not mean you can't use them in a different league size. For instance, if a 12-team league streamer is available in your 14-team league, by all means, use them accordingly.

Let's take a look at Week 6's best streaming options with some highlighted players to keep an especially close eye on.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Stream Team for 14-Team Leagues

Kyle Allen (QB, CAR) - 10% Owned

Kyle Allen and the Panthers head across the pond this week to play the Bucs, and it should be a solid matchup for Allen. The Bucs are currently giving up 336.6 passing yards per game to quarterbacks, which ranks dead-last in the league. They have also given up nine passing touchdowns to quarterbacks, which ranks them ninth-worst in the league.

Allen has been trusted to throw the ball since taking over as the starter as he has thrown 30 or more times in each of his last two starts, completing 64% of his passes. He is a great streaming option this week and should be deployed where needed.

Preston Williams (WR, MIA) - 12% Owned

Preston Williams is largely unknown in the fantasy world, but he has been coming on strong of late and could be worth a flier this week vs. the Redskins. Williams is averaging 7.5 targets per game and has received seven and 12 targets the previous two weeks, respectively.

This week, he goes up against a defense that has allowed 72 receptions by wide receivers, which ranks fourth-worst in the league. They have also allowed 855 receiving yards and nine touchdowns to the wide receiver position. While it may not be sexy to start a Miami Dolphin, Preston Williams could be a solid stream this week for a team looking to grab its first win of the season.

Auden Tate (WR, CIN) - 21% Owned

Auden Tate makes a second consecutive appearance on the Stream Team after posting three catches for 26 yards and a touchdown last week vs. Arizona. His ownership rate increased from five percent to 21%, but he may still be available in your league this week. Tate will once again be the number two wide receiver behind Tyler Boyd and will find himself going up against a Ravens Defense that allows 25.1 fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position, which ranks 10th-worst in the league.

The Ravens are also favored by 11 in this game, which means the Bengals will likely be in pass mode for a large chunk of the game. Tate should continue to see a heavy stream of targets and provide plenty of fantasy value this week.

Stream Team for 12-Team Leagues

Andy Dalton (QB, CIN) - 31% Owned

This week, Andy Dalton finds himself in a surprisingly good matchup vs. the Baltimore Ravens Defense. Normally, when you hear the Ravens Defense, you would expect them to be solid vs. the pass, but that is not the case this season. In 2019, the Ravens have allowed 1,454 passing yards to opposing quarterbacks through the first five games, which equates to 290.8 passing yards per game.

This ranks the Ravens fourth-worst in the league. They have also allowed six passing touchdowns and only come up with three interceptions. The Ravens are still favored by 11 in this game though, and similar to the way I expect Auden Tate to produce while the Bengals are trailing, I expect Dalton to have the same type of success.

Ito Smith (RB, ATL) - 18% Owned

Streaming at the running back position continues to grow increasingly difficult this season. Ito Smith could provide some value in this game, however. The Arizona Cardinals are allowing 4.49 yards per carry to running backs this season. They have also given up the 11th-most rushing yards to running backs by allowing 525 yards on the ground.

Smith has found himself more involved in the offense of late as he had 11 touches last week vs the Texans in a game that was never really close. He has also had several goal-line carries in recent weeks. While he is no sure bet to rack up fantasy points in any given week, he could be worth a stream this week in Arizona for owners who are desperate at the running back position.

Diontae Johnson (WR, PIT) - 30% Owned

Diontae Johnson has quickly become a favorite target in Pittsburgh in recent weeks. While Mason Rudolph likely won't play after suffering a crushing hit and concussion last week, Devlin Hodges should be able to locate Johnson plenty of times Sunday night. Johnson has been targeted 20 times in the last three games and has racked up 156 yards and two touchdowns over that same span.

The Chargers have allowed 58 receptions for 754 yards and five touchdowns to the receiving position this year. The Chargers are also favored by 6.5 in this game, which means the game script calls for the Steelers needing to throw the ball more often. Look for Johnson to put up a solid line this week and make for a worthwhile streamer in 12-team leagues.

Stream Team for 10-Team Leagues

Kirk Cousins (QB, MIN) - 44% Owned

Kirk Cousins bounced back last week by throwing for 306 yards and two touchdowns vs. a porous Giants pass defense. He should be able to keep the streak rolling this week vs. the Eagles. The Eagles have allowed the fifth-most passing yards to quarterbacks, allowing nearly 1,500 yards through the air. They have also given up nine passing touchdowns in five games.

Pair this with the fact that their run defense is very strong (allowed fewest rushing yards to running backs) and the Vikings will likely have no choice but to move the ball through the air on Sunday. Cousins is a great streamer this week and should be started in any format where available.

Adrian Peterson (RB, WAS) - 52% Owned

Adrian Peterson's days in the NFL are likely limited now that he is not producing like he once did. This week could be one of the last opportunities he has to make a major impact in an NFL game. He is currently averaging 10 carries per game, which may be all he needs to perform admirably against this putrid Miami run defense.

The Dolphins have allowed 615 rushing yards to running backs in only four games this season. This comes out to an average of 153.75 yards per game, which is by far the worst in the league. They have also allowed five rushing touchdowns to the running back position, which is the third-most in the league. Lastly, the Dolphins allow the most fantasy points per game to running backs by allowing 31.9 points per game. Clearly, the Dolphins are flat out awful vs the run. If Peterson was ever going to right his ship, this will be the week he does it.

Mecole Hardman (WR, KC) - 51% Owned

No one can tell you from week-to-week which receiver in the Chief's offense is going to have a big game with Tyreek Hill missing from the lineup. Guessing which receiver is going to pop is akin to guessing which Patriots running back you should start each week. This week though, Hardman could have a huge role if Hill and Watkins remain out of the lineup. Since Hill's departure, Hardman has averaged 5.5 targets per game and this number will only rise in Week 6 if both Hill and Watkins miss the game.

If this is the case, Hardman should be able to exploit a Texans Defense that has allowed 75 receptions for 962 yards to wide receivers this season. These totals rank the Texans third-worst and sixth-worst respectively. The total in this game is also set at 55, which is the highest total on the board, meaning a lot of passing is expected. Keep an eye on the injury report this week and look to get Hardman in your lineup if either Watkins or Hill does not suit up.
