Dan's top hitter streamers and starts as fantasy baseball waiver wire adds for Week 2 of 2026 (April 6 - April 12). He analyzes streamers with favorable matchups, schedules.
Whether you are cutting some slow starters or need to add hitters to replace injured sluggers, the early weeks of the season are a good time to snag some bats off the wire.
My weekly hitters streamers fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify hitters with favorable matchups who can be considered waiver wire pickups or streamers ahead of Sunday night's waiver wire runs in leagues with weekly transactions. Because of some format changes to Yahoo leagues this year, players who appear in this article this week are rostered in 25% or fewer leagues on Yahoo!

Week 2 Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers
I'll recommend only players who are 25 percent rostered or lower, and all roster percentages are from Yahoo!
Colt Keith, 1B/2B/3B - DET (24%)
The Tigers' left-handed utility man stays in the article this week, as a hot week at the dish has propelled his average to .417 on the year. Most notably, he's led off for Detroit in his last three starts and has scored three runs in those games. The leadoff spot in this Tigers lineup is pretty valuable and should make Keith a pretty consistent contributor in runs scored, even if he does sit against lefties.
Miguel Vargas, 1B/3B - CWS (20%)
Sure, the White Sox are a bad team, but the offense has shown some signs of improvement, and Vargas could stand to benefit from hitting behind the rookie sensation Munetaka Murakami, who already has four home runs on the year.
All of Vargas's RBI this year came in one game last week, but he's chipped in with two runs scored and a stolen base in each of his last two. The stolen bases are appealing from a corner infielder, and he's already halfway to his season total of six from last season. A corner infielder with some power and speed that hits in the middle of their lineup, Vargas is set up for fantasy success - I'm intrigued to see if he can put it all together this year.
Max Muncy, 2B/3B/SS - ATH (15%)
Another guy who should be on more rosters is Max Muncy of the Athletics. I don't view him as a streamer; I think he's one of the best available pickups out there for the rest of the season.

Muncy is now hitting .300 on the year, after going five for his last nine at the plate, including his second home run. He's eligible at both middle infield slots as well as third base, and has been one of the most consistent hitters for a struggling Athletics offense to start the year.
We saw him club nine home runs in 206 AB last year, and with the HR-friendly home ballpark and an everyday spot in this lineup, a 20-HR season is well within reach.
Kyle Isbel, OF - KC (15%)
Super small sample size warning, but Isbel is hitting .478 across his first 23 AB with five runs and five RBI. He hit two home runs last week and now has three steals on the year. We have never seen him sustain this type of production over a larger sample, but he's certainly worth a speculative add to see if he can keep it up. Both home runs came at home, too, so perhaps the fences being closer at Kauffman Stadium are already paying dividends for Royals hitters?
Jordan Walker, OF - STL (13%)
I know that people have grown tired of the "maybe this is the year" talk for Jordan Walker year in and year out. But hey, maybe this REALLY IS the year? If someone in your league dropped him after he cooled off this week, give him a look.

He smashed his second home run yesterday (a grand slam), drove in five runs, and stole a base. He's got all the tools and has a lock on playing time, even moving up in the lineup lately as high as fifth.
Cole Young, 2B - SEA (12%)
He didn't hit any more dingers this week, but Young hit safely in all but one of his games, providing two runs and two RBI. He's proving that his spring training results were not a fluke and is worth a look if you need middle infield help.
Mickey Moniak, OF - COL (11%)
After missing the first week and a half of the season, Moniak returned to the Rockies' lineup and hit third on Friday night against the Phillies. Moniak was a staple of this article last year, as he went on a few different runs, getting hot and very productive.
It's hard to ignore his power and the great hitting environment that he'll enjoy at Coors Field for home games. He hit 24 home runs in 2025, improved his batting average to .270, and swiped nine bases. Now is the time to snag him, before he goes on a hot streak and fetches a high FAAB bid next week.
Josh Bell, 1B - MIN (8%)
Josh Bell gets another fresh start, this time in Minnesota. The big, switch-hitting first baseman got hot last week, homering in back-to-back games for the Twins, and now has nine runs scored and seven RBI on the season. He bumped up to the 3-spot in the order yesterday, too. He's certainly a streaky hitter, but when he's going good, he can provide some solid fantasy production, and he's yet to get a day off for the Twins, who badly need hitting.
Mark Vientos, 3B - NYM (7%)
Vientos had a disastrous spring training and didn't start the first four games of the season for the Mets. But he's showing signs of life, going six for 12 over his last three games with a home run, three RBI, and four runs scored.

He has enough of a track record that he warrants a speculative pick-up, and if he can maintain an everyday spot in the middle of this Mets lineup, he won't be this widely available for long.
Brandon Marsh, OF - PHI (6%)
I mentioned Marsh last week because I knew the Phillies were heading to Colorado, and he's paid off quite nicely with a hit and run scored in all but one game this week. He smacked a home run on Friday night, too, and should continue to get a lot of RBI opportunities in this strong Philadelphia lineup. It's tough rostering platoon players, but Marsh has been productive enough with his opportunities that he could still pay off.
Week 2 Deep League Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers
Some widely available hitters (under 5% rostered) could be worth a look this week due to hot starts at the plate or strong matchups.
- Garrett Mitchell, OF - MIL (5%)
- Dylan Beavers, OF - BAL (3%)
- Nick Gonzales, 2B/3B/SS - PIT (3%)
- Joey Ortiz, SS - MIL (3%)
- Isaac Collins, OF - KC (1%)
- Tyler Freeman, 2B/OF - COL (1%)
Good luck this week, and choose those streaming options wisely! Thanks for making RotoBaller your one-stop shop for all things fantasy baseball!
