Martinsville NASCAR Practice Speeds, Lap Averages, and Notes

Bubba Wallace - NASCAR DFS Picks, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy NASCAR

NASCAR Practice Speeds, Notes, and Lap Averages. Use these NASCAR stats and info to build lineups on DraftKings for the the 2025 Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway.

The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday afternoon in preparation for the upcoming Cook Out 400 on Sunday afternoon.

The 38-car field was split in to two groups for practice, with each group getting 25 minutes on track.

Below you will find the two groups, key notes from the practice session, as well as the practice speeds for all drivers.

Important Practice Notes

Justin Haley - With about 10 minutes left in Group 2’s session of practice, Justin Haley brought out the red flag when his hood flew up on top of the windshield. It was believed that the hood pins were either not installed or came loose during the session.

Ryan Blaney - The No. 12 Ford was one of the fastest cars on the long run during practice on Saturday, but Blaney wasn’t overly happy with his car. He said they had speed, but needed to dial the balance in to be as good as they could be on race day.

Carson Hocevar - Hocevar was another driver that wasn’t overly happy with his race car, mentioning that he didn’t like the speed in the No. 77 Chevrolet on the long run. He looked solid in 30-lap average compared to other cars, but was easily getting passed by others on track during his session.
