Ja'Kobi Lane 2026 Fantasy Football Outlook: Lane Handpicked by New Offensive Coordinato
All a rookie needs is an opportunity, and Ja'Kobi Lane has one in Baltimore with Rashod Bateman and Devontez Walker proving to be stale options in the Ravens' passing game. At some point, you are what you are. While Lane sits behind both receivers on the depth chart in June, the story will be very different come Week 1 as Land and fellow rookie Elijah Sarratt offer more creativity for Declan Doyle and the Ravens offense. At 6'4 and running a 4.47 40-time, Lane is a big-bodied target that can stretch the field, which should create openings underneath for Flowers and, in doing so, allow Lane to stay on the field. In just 11 games last season at USC, Lane caught 49 passes for 745 receiving yards, averaging 15.2 yards per reception. In the season prior, Lane caught 12 touchdown passes. For perspective, outside of Flowers, who caught 86 passes last season, DeAndre Hopkins was second among receivers with 22 receptions. That includes Bateman and Walker, who played in 12 and 13 games, respectively. With third-round draft capital, Lane will get every opportunity. One area Doyle and Lamar Jackson will appreciate about the former Trojan is his ability to convert. Last season, 50% of Lane's receptions resulted in either a first down or a touchdown, the fifth-best mark among the 2026 draft class.
