Jameson Williams Records Long Touchdown in Week 2, Still Limited to Downfield Role?

Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams recorded 108 receiving yards in his team's 52-21 Week 2 victory over the Chicago Bears, including a 44-yard touchdown catch. However, Williams hauled in just two passes on four targets, raising questions about whether his role will be expanded beyond being a downfield threat in 2025. The 24-year-old Williams is unquestionably explosive with the ball in his hands, averaging over 17 yards per reception for his career. Still, he's recorded just six catches on nine targets through the first two games of the season after averaging under four catches per game in 2024. Williams profiles as a boom/bust fantasy WR3/flex option until proven otherwise.--Will Brady
