Big Ten to Ban NFL Players from Returning to Collegiate Play
According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, the Big Ten will pass a rule on Tuesday prohibiting players from returning from the NFL to play for a Big Ten school. Thamel reports that the rule will ban any player who declared for the NFL Draft and did not withdraw, appeared on an NFL roster, or signed a contract with a pro league from returning to collegiate play. This comes after former Ole Miss tight end Dae'Quan Wright was recently waived by the Cleveland Browns and has plans to return to college to play for Lane Kiffin again at LSU. This feels like the obvious thing to do, and other conferences should follow suit in the immediate future.
