LeBron James' NBA Records That Are Unlikely To Be Broken

Which of LeBron James' NBA records will likely remain unbroken going forward? Eleazar analyzes several records one of the greatest NBA players of all time has set.

Records are meant to be broken. It's one of the reasons why records exist in the first place. Some records may be seemingly impossible to even reach. Some records look almost humanly impossible to reach, but in some cases, some impossible records have been reached. Again.

LeBron James has been setting NBA records left and right since his rookie year 21 years ago. And even after 21 years, he's still setting and breaking records. Who would have thought he would catch up with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the all-time leading scorer of the NBA?

James has set so many records and people now say some records may have been made impossible to reach. Below are just some of these records.

All-Time Scoring Leader

For context, Abdul-Jabbar played 21 seasons and scored 38,387 points.

James has played 21 seasons already and has long overtook Abdul-Jabbar as the league's all-time leading scorer with 40,474 points and counting.

Now, the reason why this record will stay under James' name for the rest of the league's existence is simple: Kevin Durant, the other active player in the top 10 of the all-time scoring list, is in eighth place with 28,924 points. The next active players are James Harden and Russell Westbrook -- who both are still outside of the top 15. And the trio is already entering their late 30s, so it's impossible for any of them to even reach the top three.

100+ 30-Point Games With Different Teams

Some people may take James playing for three different teams against him, but the fact is he still managed to set a record for most 30-point games with three NBA teams.

Aside from being the record holder for being able to score at least 40 points against all 30 NBA teams, the King has over 100 30-point games under his name for three teams.

Context: someone would need to switch three teams in the course of his NBA career and score at least 30 points to even reach that record

Three Finals MVP for Three Teams

James holds the distinction of winning at least one Finals MVP for (at least) three different NBA franchises.

He has two with the Miami Heat and one each for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers. People have been mocking James for switching teams, but the truth is he has delivered a championship to each team he played for. Who knows? He might change teams again and win another one. Another possible record.

Kawhi Leonard, the only active player who can catch up to James' record, has won a Finals MVP for the San Antonio Spurs and another one for the Toronto Raptors. He can add another one -- assuming the Los Angeles Clippers win a title soon. Given the Klaw's health inconsistencies, it's highly unlikely.

40K-10K-10K

James stands alone as the only player in league history to have over 40,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, and 10,000 assists in his career -- proof that he is an all-around player and does more than his usual monstrous dunks and impactful blocks.

And the fact he achieved such a feat at the age of 39 is a testament to his commitment to the game of basketball.

Being the Cavs' Franchise Leader in Almost All Categories

There is a reason why James is synonymous with the Cleveland Cavaliers: he put the Cavs back on the world map.

Without James in a Cavs uniform, the 73-9 Golden State Warriors team in 2016 would have rolled toward another championship.

The King is the Cavs' franchise leader in points scored. In 849 games, he scored 23,119 points while averaging 27.2 points. He also leads the team in most minutes played (33,130 minutes) and other categories.

It's safe to say the King's records with the Cavs will stand the test of time.
