Breece Hall - Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Fantasy Football Picks for Week 1 (2025)

Breece Hall - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Breece Hall start 'em, sit 'em fantasy football picks for Week 1 of 2025. Should you start or sit Breece Hall for fantasy football lineups in Week 1?

BALLER MOVE: Start in all leagues

POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2

ANALYSIS: New York Jets running back Breece Hall has typically been viewed as a high-end fantasy asset throughout his NFL career. However, in 2024, Hall had a disappointing campaign, to his standards, which resulted in his fantasy stock dropping significantly heading into 2025.

Last season, Hall posted a career-low 4.2 YPC and only eclipsed 100 rushing yards in one game.

In addition, his performance during training camp and the preseason has begun to cause great concern from fantasy managers. Throughout the preseason, sophomore running back Braelon Allen has looked much more explosive and has typically outplayed him in each game.

In their final preseason match, in which both running backs played alongside starting quarterback Justin Fields, they typically split carries, and Allen looked far more explosive. While Allen posted a low 3.6 YPC in his debut season, he appears to have taken the next step in his development.

Despite the disappointing preseason, fantasy managers should not be overly concerned as they head into their Week 1 match against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Even though he looks less explosive, Hall has flashed immense potential when on the field. In 2023, Hall ran for 994 yards while being limited through much of the start of the season. In 2024, Hall experienced a slight drop in efficiency but remained a solid RB2.

While he may not be given as large a workload as he has received in the past, Hall is still a strong RB2 in all formats, heading into the season opener.
