Top Hitter Streamers - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups and Starts for Week 27

Willi Castro - fantasy baseball rankings draft sleepers prospects waiver wire pickups

Fantasy baseball hitter streamers and starts for Week 27 of the 2023 season. Dawn Tepper analyzes the top batter streamers to pick up.

Welcome to another week of sifting through top hitter streamers, RotoBallers! We are looking ahead at the top hitter streamers and starts for fantasy baseball Week 27 – Monday, September 25 through Sunday, October 1. For those new to this series, each week, our fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify hitters with good matchups and can be considered waiver wire streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver wire runs for leagues with weekly transactions.

When you find yourself with a hole in your roster due to injury or otherwise, you need to find a week's worth of solid production from a new addition to your roster. That's where streaming comes in. Today, we will review potential hitters to stream in Week 27. Let's see which ones make the list.

We look into some hitters playing in most games and have favorable matchups to help you stay at the top as the season winds down. As always, check out the rest of our fantasy baseball streamer content after you read this piece!

What Teams Offer The Most Streaming Value?

Six teams are playing seven games between Monday, September 25, and Sunday, October 1:

  • New York Yankees
  • Arizona Diamondbacks
  • Colorado Rockies
  • Los Angeles Dodgers
  • Texas Rangers
  • Seattle Mariners

Best Sub-50% Rostered Hitters For This Week

One of the teams playing seven games next week, the Dodgers, is playing FOUR of them at Coors Field. All four games have Los Angeles facing right-handed pitchers. Most of you won't need a reminder of our favorite Dodger bats versus righties in LA, but I'm going to give you a handy graphic anyway. As the Dodgers face Colorado this week, I'll do my best to find you any available lefties you can add to your roster. Let's go!

Fantasy owners can utilize streamers between teams under 50% rostered.

  • LAD @ COL, September 26 (double-header) - September 28
  • MIN @ COL, September 28 - October 1
  • NYY @ KC, September 29 - October 1
  • ARI @ CHW, September 26 - September 28
  • TEX @ LAA, September 25 - September 27
  • SEA vs. TEX, September 28 - October 1
  • COL vs. MIN, September 28 - October 1

Week 26 Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers

Willi Castro, 2B, 3B, SS, OF - Minnesota Twins (49% Rostered)

Switch-hitting Castro and the Twins have a great matchup next week in Colorado. Over the previous five games, Castro is slashing .238/.304/.619 with five hits, one triple, two homers, and three RBI. The first-place AL Central Twins are looking to channel their inner Castro as they make their way into the postseason.

Last Wednesday, Castro hit a solo homer to get the Twins on the board after being shut down by Hunter Greene for most of the game. Castro isn't the star others on his team are, but he shows how hard he can play when Minnesota needs him most. I'm expecting bombs from Castro and the Twins this week in Colorado; grab him if you can!

J.P. Crawford, SS, Seattle Mariners (43% Rostered)

Today isn't the first time left-hander Crawford has landed on this list. The Mariners have a few tough matchups next week but are facing four right-handed pitchers, putting Crawford in a great position to make some noise given his .270/.383/.471 slash line versus righties.

In three games versus Colorado this year, Crawford is batting .571/.727/.571 with two runs, four walks, four hits, and one RBI. I'm expecting a similar line this week at Coors Field, although I AM expecting at least one homer. I said what I said! This series should set them up nicely as they head into the postseason.

Nicky Lopez,  3B - Atlanta Braves (17% Rostered)

In Lopez's last five games, he's slashing .308/.308/.462 with four hits, two doubles, and one RBI. The Braves have great matchups next week, all at home and versus four right-handers and two lefties. Against right-handed pitchers over the last two weeks, Lopez is slashing .571/.571/.857 with a 1.429 OPS, four hits, two doubles, and an RBI. Lopez has great opportunities to continue his hot streak versus righties and is worth a spot on your roster.

Brandon Marsh, OF - Philadelphia Phillies (16% Rostered)

The Phillies face five out of six right-handed pitchers this week, putting the left-handed Marsh in a great position to contribute versus Pittsburgh at the beginning of the week. Surprisingly (well, surprisingly to me), the Phillies' splits are almost identical, with a .258/.329/.435 slash line versus right-handers and.254/.326/.449 versus lefties.

In three games versus Pittsburgh this year, Marsh is slashing .400/.625/.600, and versus right-handed pitchers this season, he is batting .293/.389/.469. He's a great addition to your roster in these last weeks of fantasy baseball.
