Demetrius Harris 2019 Player Outlook: Athletic, Talented, and Buried Again
5 years agoSadly, the breakout is likely never happening for Demetrius Harris. With that being said, he's still a name to keep floating around in your head because of his incredible athleticism. Harris's speed and burst scores are 89th and 84th percentile, respectively. At 6'7, 235 lbs, he can be a red zone weapon. He was trapped behind Travis Kelce in Kansas City and many fantasy analysts flagged him as a guy to stash last season because we knew he would be on a new team this year. Landing in Cleveland tethered to Baker Mayfield is fantastic, but being stuck behind another young, athletic TE in David Njoku is less than ideal. There is also the added problem of Seth DeValve, who the Browns seem to be irrationally enamored with. Harris has no business being selected in redraft leagues, but if something were to happen to Njoku (whether it be injury or his continued inability to catch a football, which seems like something an NFL TE might want to be good at), Harris could emerge as a relevant fantasy option if he ever got the opportunity.
