Dare Ogunbowale 2020 Outlook: More Production Possible?
5 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Dare Ogunbowale will enter the 2020 campaign in hopes of moving up the team's depth chart. Though Ronald Jones II will probably be the No. 1 option, at least initially, Ogunbowale has a chance to earn extra reps throughout the season now that Peyton Barber is a Washington Redskin. However, he will have his work cut out for him for snaps as the team selected Vanderbilt back Ke'Shawn Vaughn in the third round of the NFL Draft, a move that may keep the 26-year-old relegated as the No. 3 option once again. Nonetheless, with Tom Brady the new captain of a pass-first offense, Ogunbowale could have a shot to occupy a James White-Esque role catching passes out of the backfield after he pulled in 35 catches for 286 yards in 2019. While he likely won't make as much noise as White has throughout the years, this is a situation worth keeping an eye on, especially if you are looking for a late-round flier with upside in PPR formats.
