Braxton Ashcraft to Start for Pirates on Saturday
Braxton Ashcraft will start the team's game against the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday, manager Don Kelly announced. Ashcraft hasn't lasted more than three innings or gone past the 52-pitch mark in any of his 17 appearances, so Pittsburgh will heavily rely on its bullpen. The 25-year-old rookie has pitched to a 3.24 ERA with a 1.38 WHIP, 28 strikeouts, and 12 walks over 33 1/3 innings.
