Allen Robinson 2020 Outlook: Elite Talent Looking for Competent QB Play
5 years agoWe all felt for DeAndre Hopkins when he had to endure a season of Brock Osweiler. In the meantime, we overlooked the misery of Allen Robinson's career. First, Robinson had to establish himself as an NFL caliber receiver with undoubtedly the worst quarterback drafted in the first two rounds in NFL history, Christian Hackenberg. After reaching the NFL, Robinson had to suffer through Blake Bortles for three seasons. He got away from Bortles, only to hook up with Mitch TruBortles with a dash of Chase Daniel. It is nowhere near a stretch to say that Nick Foles is, by far, the best quarterback Bortles has ever played with. Robinson's WR9 finish in 2019 was exceptionally impressive. He's an excellent talent that is now another year removed from his torn ACL. He will have to develop rapport with Foles quickly and likely with a limited training camp, but Robinson has overcome far worse in his career. I see no reason Robinson can't at least match, if not improve upon his 2019 campaign. He's a very safe option beginning in the third round
