NFL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel: Preseason Week 2 (Friday, 8/15/25)

Calvin Ridley - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL DFS Picks, Draft Sleepers

The top daily fantasy football lineup picks for DraftKings, FanDuel -- NFL preseason Week 2 on Friday, August 15, 2025. Doug's NFL DFS analysis and sleepers picks.

Week 1 of the 2025 NFL Preseason is in the books, but never fear, because Week 2 has another four days of games for our enjoyment. Tonight we have a two-game slate, and if this week follows the example set last week, then we can expect some fireworks. The over was hitting regularly last weekend as offenses looked to be far more in sync than they’ve been in years past.

Tonight’s games are highlighted by a possible extended look for the first overall pick in this year’s draft, Cameron Ward of the Tennessee Titans. They head into Atlanta to face a Falcons team that will once again be resting their starters. The other matchup has the Chiefs, most likely with a resting Patrick Mahomes, heading to Seattle to take on the Seahawks.

Here you will be provided daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Friday two-game slate of Week 2 of the NFL preseason on 8/15/25. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from high-end players and elite options to backup and contrarian players on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Thanks for reading, and good luck, RotoBallers!

Preseason NFL DFS - Quarterbacks

Cameron Ward (TEN at ATL) (DK: $5500 I FD: $6000)

Cameron Ward played ten snaps in Week 1 of the Preseason, and he looked the part of a top overall pick in the draft, completing five of eight passes for 67 yards with no sacks or turnovers. Ward is likely to see more playing time in this game, getting an entire quarter or more to show off his skills. The Titans have acknowledged that their offense needs work, so it would make sense to get Ward and his receivers more game action before the matchups start to count in the regular season.

Ward has the best combination of talent and expected snap share of any quarterback on today’s short slate, as Patrick Mahomes and Michael Penix won’t play, and Sam Darnold is only likely to get a series or two. On a slate this small, you should stack Ward with at least two pass catchers (more on that below) in tournaments.

Jalen Milroe (SEA vs KC) (DK: $5500 I FD: $6000)

Sam Darnold is going to start for the Seahawks, but he will only play a few snaps before ceding the position to backups Drew Lock and Jalen Milroe. Both quarterbacks saw action last weekend, with Lock throwing 22 passes to Milroe’s 10. The rookie should get more work this weekend to assimilate himself with the offense, with an entire half of action not out of the question. Milroe’s appeal won’t come from his passing, although that’s an underrated aspect of his game, but instead from his leg.

He ran three times last weekend for 38 yards, which saved an otherwise disappointing fantasy performance from the third-round pick out of Alabama. The team said last weekend that they’d have designed runs for him in the playbook; we can expect that kind of rushing production from him again in this game. That rushing upside sets him apart from other guys at the position, like Bailey Zappe and Easton Stick

ALSO CONSIDER: Bailey Zappe (KC), Easton Stick (ATL)

Preseason NFL DFS - Running Backs

Kalel Mullings (TEN at ATL (DK: $5500 I FD: $6000)

Incumbent third-stringer Julius Chestnut is battling with Kalel Mullings for that job this year on the Titans. Mullings looked decent last weekend, leading the team with seven carries for 33 yards against the Buccaneers. He was the only running back on the team to have a run of more than 10 yards, which shows his ability to get to the second level of the defense.

Mullings should get a longer look this weekend with Tyjae Spears banged up. It’s doubtful that he will see time with Cam Ward and the first-stringers, but it wouldn’t be shocking if he got into the game after halftime and saw a majority of the second half snaps.

Damien Martinez (SEA vs KC) (DK: $5500 I FD: $6000)

Damien Martinez was expected to play a bigger role in last weekend's preseason game, but George Holani outshone the rookie out of Miami. Martinez was given six carries and two targets, and although he only recorded 10 rushing yards, he was able to gain another 15 through the air, showing his versatility.

The team is familiar with Holani, having worked with him last season, but they need to determine Martinez's role on the team. He’s a bigger-bodied player, making him a threat at the goal line. He will come into the game sometime after the starters leave and be given several opportunities to show the team what he can do.

ALSO CONSIDER: Brashard Smith (KC), George Holani (SEA), Jashaun Corbin (ATL), Nathan Carter (ATL)

Preseason NFL DFS - Wide Receivers

Tory Horton (SEA vs KC) (DK: $5500 I FD: $6000)

The Seahawks are expected to give their starters two series of work in this game. Is Tory Horton considered a starter at this point? He’s listed as the third receiver on the depth chart, but he’s also a rookie, so the team may want to get him more live game reps. Although his stat line was impressive last weekend, three catches and a touchdown, it’s a bit misleading. He was given seven targets, so those three catches only equate to a 42% catch rate; not a great number.

This leads me to believe that he will get some run after the first team offense gets off the field, but the question is how much run he will get, which makes him a risky pick. I’m using Horton in any lineup where Jalen Milroe is the quarterback, and I’ll be sprinkling him in with my other lineups because of how impressive he’s been in camp.

Dylan Drummond (ATL vs TEN) (DK: $5500 I FD: $6000)

Dylan Drummond came out of nowhere last weekend to lead the Falcons in targets and receptions, with eight apiece. He has a strong chemistry with Easton Stick, and even if Kirk Cousins ends up starting this game, it’ll be Stick who will get the majority of the snaps. Will Stick continue to look for Drummond?

Reports out of camp suggest that he will get early snaps again this weekend, and if that’s the case, he should once again pace the Falcons in targets. Stacking Drummond with Stick and Nick Nash could be a sneaky way to play this slate, with Titans and Seahawks stacks expected to dominate ownership.

Calvin Ridley (TEN at ATL) (DK: $5500 I FD: $6000)

I rarely recommend front-line players in the preseason, but this is a different situation. Calvin Ridley saw a 37.5% target share on Cam Ward’s eight attempts last weekend, and the first team offense for the Titans is expected to get more of an extended run in this game. Look at what Ja’Marr Chase did last weekend in limited snaps for the Bengals to see what kind of upside a starter can have, even with limited snaps.

That’s not to suggest that Ridley will go off for a pair of touchdowns, but he should be targeted early and often while Ward is on the field. The two have developed chemistry at Titans’ camp, and they’ll want to continue to feed that in live game reps. I’m stacking Ward with Ridley and one other pass catcher (Elic Ayomanor or Chimere Dike) in tournament lineups.

ALSO CONSIDER: Jalen Royals (KC), Tyquan Thornton (KC), Chimere Dike (TEN), Elic Ayomanor (TEN), Nick Nash (ATL)

Preseason NFL DFS - Tight Ends

Robert Tonyan (KC at SEA) (DK: $5500 I FD: $6000)

Veteran Robert Tonyan is making waves at Chiefs’ camp, even impressing coach Andy Reid, who said that Tonyan “had some big catches” in last week’s game against the Cardinals. The team didn’t expect much when they signed Tonyan, but he led the Chiefs with three catches and 49 yards last weekend and has been making plays at camp. Tonyan has had big seasons before in the NFL, and if anything, he’s a threat in the red zone.

The team is locked in at tight end with Travis Kelce and Noah Gray, so they won’t play much in this game, which opens up a ton of snaps for a guy like Tonyan to go out and make plays. Last week’s performance is more than enough for me to lock Tonyan in as my top tight end on today’s slate in both cash and tournament lineups.

ALSO CONSIDER: Feleipe Franks (ATL), Gunnar Helm (TEN), Elijah Arroyo (SEA)

Thanks for checking this out, and good luck!
