Ranking College Football Stadiums By Total Capacity: Top 15 Venues

Neyland Stadium - Top College Football Stadiums Power Rankings

RotoBaller's list of the top 15 College Football stadiums by total capacity. Which NCAA CFB stadiums are the largest in America?

Michigan NCAA Stock Image, College Football Logo

1. Michigan Stadium

School: Michigan
Total Capacity: 107,600

Michigan Stadium, also known as “The Big House,” is the largest football stadium in America and is the only one to hold at least 107,000 fans. Talk about an intimidating place to play, especially for a visitor from a small school.

Penn State Nittany Lions - NCAA College Team Logo Stock

2. Beaver Stadium

School: Penn State
Total Capacity: 106,572

At its best, Penn State has one of the best home-field advantages in the country, especially during a “White Out.” Unfortunately, a lot of Penn State’s marquee games take place in the early afternoon window on Saturdays, but that didn’t stop Beaver Stadium from rocking in the first-ever College Football Playoff against SMU.

Ohio State Buckeyes - NCAA College Team Logo Stock

3. Ohio Stadium

School: Ohio State
Total Capacity: 102,780

Speaking of the College Football Playoff, we were treated to some of the nation’s best venues in Year 1 of the 12-team model. “The Shoe” hosted the first ever Saturday night playoff game on a college campus last December, and it was a heck of an environment with up between 70,000 to 80,000 Buckeye fans and 30,000 to 40,000 Tennessee fans in attendance.

Texas A&M Aggies - College Team Logo Stock

4. Kyle Field

School: Texas A&M
Total Capacity: 102,733

Kyle Field is one of the best stadiums and environments in college football, but it somehow goes under the radar. The Aggies’ fanbase is known as the “12th Man,” and you can find them getting Kyle Field rocking every Saturday when the Aggies take the field in College Station.

LSU Tigers - College Team Stock Logo

5. Tiger Stadium

School: LSU
Total Capacity: 102,321

Many would argue there is no greater home-field advantage than during a night game at LSU. Tiger Stadium is known for its party-like atmosphere and hostile fanbase that helps the Tigers jump on their opponents from start to finish. This is one of two “Death Valleys” on the list.

Tennessee Volunteers - College Team Logo Stock

6. Neyland Stadium

School: Tennessee
Total Capacity: 101,915

Neyland Stadium is another contender for the best home-field advantage. The Saturday sea of Orange can overwhelm an opponent, and the Vols are back to being tough to knock off in Knoxville. Tennessee has gone 4-0 in the last four games against Florida and Alabama at home. Georgia is the only visiting team to walk out of Neyland Stadium with a win over the last three seasons.

Texas Longhorns - College Team Logo Stock

7. Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium

School: Texas
Total Capacity: 100,119

Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium is another venue that goes under the radar, but that’s partially because Texas football struggled mightily between the Mack Brown era and the Steve Sarkisian era. With the Longhorns back as an elite program, the atmosphere is back to electric.

Alabama Crimson Tide - College Team Logo Stock

8. Bryant-Denny Stadium

School: Alabama
Total Capacity: 100,077

Bryan-Denny Stadium is now called “Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium” for obvious reasons. The Crimson Tide went 103-9 in home games under Nick Saban and despite the down year in 2024 under Kalen DeBoer, Alabama did not lose in Tuscaloosa.

Georgia Bulldogs - College Team Logo Stock

9. Sanford Stadium

School: Georgia
Total Capacity: 93,033

Georgia added roughly 1,000 seats to its stadium ahead of the 2024 season, and despite falling below 100,000 in capacity, this is now one of the most feared environments to play in around the country. The Bulldogs have the longest active home winning streak in the country (32), with its last loss coming against South Carolina early in the 2019 campaign.

UCLA Bruins - NCAA College Team Logo Stock

10. Rose Bowl

School: UCLA
Total Capacity: 92,542

Unfortunately, UCLA’s home-field advantage is close to non-existent. However, they play in one of college football’s most historic venues. If the Bruins can find their footing in the Big Ten, perhaps the fans will start showing up in bunches.

Nebraska Huskers - NCAA College Team Logo Stock

11. Memorial Stadium

School: Nebraska
Total Capacity: 90,000

No matter how much Nebraska has struggled over the last decade, the fans always show up. Memorial Stadium has compiled a whopping 403 consecutive home games, an NCAA record for any sport that dates to 1962.

Florida Gators - Team College Logo Stock

12. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium

School: Florida
Total Capacity: 88,548

Florida is just outside the top 10 in terms of capacity, but “The Swamp” has a clear top-10 gameday environment in the country. The Gators use the heat to their advantage early in the season, and Florida has one of the most passionate fanbases in college football.

Auburn Tigers - College Team Logo Stock

13. Jordan-Hare Stadium

School: Auburn
Total Capacity: 88,043

Jordan-Hare Stadium has seen its fair share of history. Does anyone remember the “Kick Six” against Alabama in 2013, when Chris Davis ran a missed field goal back for a game-winning touchdown as time expired? What about the “Prayer at Jordan-Hare” against Georgia during the same season?

Clemson Tigers - NCAA College Team Logo Stock

14. Clemson Memorial Stadium

School: Clemson
Total Capacity: 81,500

Clemson Memorial Stadium is also known as “Death Valley” and it has developed into a top home-field advantage during the excellent run under head coach Dabo Swinney. This is the toughest place for a visitor to play in the ACC, and you can bet some eardrums will be hurting after Clemson hosts LSU in Week 1 next season.

Oklahoma Sooners - College Team Logo Stock

15. Oklahoma Memorial Stadium

School: Oklahoma
Total Capacity: 80,126

Oklahoma has posted two losing records in the last three years, which never helps your home-field advantage and fan buy-in. However, if you go back and watch the Sooners’ dominant win over Alabama in 2024, you’ll see there is still a great crowd on hand on Saturdays in Norman.
