Scott Kingery Could Make Impact In 2018
7 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies second baseman/third baseman Scott Kingery is one of the few prospects who can make an immediate impact for your fantasy team in 2018. The biggest hurdle for Kingery will be playing time. Cesar Hernandez currently operates the second base position, while Maikel Franco is at third base. There have been rumors of both players being on the block this year and with the Phillies in rebuild mode, it is more likely that Hernandez can be dealt at some point. If and when that happens, Kingery should become a must-own in all leagues. The infielder is a power and speed threat who hit a combined 26 home runs and stole 29 bases this past season between Double-A and Triple-A. Once he becomes the starter, it is likely he will make an impact and being eligible at second base is a bonus point. Draft him in keeper and dynasty leagues and be prepared to jump on him in mixed leagues if Hernandez or Franco are dealt or go down with an injury.
