Brenden Rice 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Needs To Rise Depth Chart For Fantasy Consideration
6 months agoThe Los Angeles Chargers used a seventh-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft to select Brenden Rice out of USC. Rice spent his first two collegiate seasons at Colorado before transferring to USC in 2022, where he shined with 12 touchdowns as a senior last year. The son of NFL legend Jerry Rice, the rookie joins a rebuilt Chargers offense looking to replace its top-three target hogs from last season. That's nearly 300 looks in the wind. LAC took Ladd McConkey in the second round and another WR in the seventh, Cornelius Johnson, to join Rice as the new class alongside Joshua Palmer, Quentin Johnston, and DJ Chark Jr. to give Justin Herbert weapons. McConkey carries promise but none of those names have proven anything yet. With a half-PPR ADP and RotoBaller rank around WR110, Rice can be left undrafted but early usage patterns should be monitored.
