NBA Best Bets: Top Player Props & Novig Market Picks (Monday, 2/9/26)

Joel Embiid - NBA Injury News, Daily Fantasy Basketball, DFS Lineup Picks

Thunder Dan Palyo locks in his top NBA player props and best bets for Monday, 2/9/26. Capitalize on commission-free odds and market edges with today's top Novig picks.

The Super Bowl is a thing of the past, and we have just four more days of NBA games before a week off, so if you are looking for some action on the Association tonight, look no further!

If you're reading this, then I am going to assume that you are an NBA bettor. Today's picks will all be using the odds on the most unique and fastest-growing sports prediction sites -- Novig. If you're not familiar with the site, I'll explain how it works and provide some of my favorite wagers to place on Novig.

As always, make sure you're following RotoBaller on X and download the RotoBaller app for all your fantasy football and betting needs. Now, here are some of my favorite NBA bets and player props for Monday night's games.

Featured Promo: New Novig users get a $25 purchase match (50% discount up to $25) on your first Novig deposit, and 6 free months of RotoBaller's "Big-4" Premium Pass (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL) which includes exclusive tools for Betting, Props, DFS and more! CLAIM IT NOW

What is Novig?

Novig is one of the fastest-growing peer-to-peer sports prediction markets. On Novig, users trade directly with each other, without the "vig" typically associated with a sportsbook. The vig is the fee sportsbooks charge you to use their services. It's a hidden cost that can be found in the odds that are being offered on each side of a specific bet. When a book offers -110 odds on both sides of a bet, they're keeping close to 10% of every bettor's wager, regardless of whether you win or lose.

On Novig, users trade with each other on the outcomes of sporting events, similarly to the way that investors trade on the stock market. But instead of having to beat the books, you just have to win against other users -- there's no commission kept by the site.

Users can bet on most traditional sports markets, including moneyline bets, spreads, totals, player props, parlays, and futures!

Novig operates with two virtual currencies. Novig coins can be wagered for fun and to test out strategies, while Novig cash can be wagered on all markets and then redeemed for real cash prizes.

Access to Novig is widespread; it's now accessible in 36 U.S. states.

How Does Novig Work?

Since users are not playing against the books, there is an opportunity to make more money per wager that you win, and users can usually find better values on bets (in terms of the prices being offered) than on traditional sportsbooks.

There are no oddsmakers; users dictate their own odds. You can either accept the odds that the market is offering or set your own odds.

If you set your own odds, another user has to accept them on the other side for the bet to be activated.

Users drive the market, not the sportsbook or oddsmakers!

NBA Sides and Totals

All odds are from Novig and were accurate as of 9:30 AM ET

Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls (-3.5, -109)

Sure, the Bulls are on the road and have gutted their roster, but the Nets are resting their best player, Michael Porter Jr., tonight and will also be without starting point guard Egor Demin. The Nets have a wild -18.5 net rating in the ten games that MPJ has missed this season, so it's hard to believe that they'll be able to keep pace with this Bulls team, which did bring back some solid offensive talent in their trades (Jaden Ivey, Anfernee Simons, and Collin Sexton)

Compare at DraftKings at -115, FanDuel at -4, -112

Denver Nuggets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (+100 Moneyline)

The Cavs are 11-4 over their last 15 games and 1-0 with James Harden, whom they acquired at the deadline. Meanwhile, the Nuggets have just a 1.6 net rating over their last 15 games and are dealing with several key injuries, with both Aaron Gordon and Peyton Watson out of the lineup.

I really like the Cavs in this spot. Harden gives them an additional playmaker and allows them to take the pressure off Donovan Mitchell. I also think Cleveland's bench is a good bit deeper, and that their second unit, which has been strengthened by the additions of Dennis Schroder and Keon Ellis, should have a big advantage here.

Compare at DraftKings at -108, FanDuel at -106

Prop Bet Picks

All odds are from Novig and were accurate as of 9:30 AM ET

Joel Embiid OVER 29.5 Points (-112)

Embiid has been playing at an incredibly high level lately, scoring 30+ points in eight of his last ten games. Now he gets a matchup with Donovan Clingan, who has been getting killed by opposing bigs lately. Portland is allowing the second-most points to opposing centers over its last 15 games.

Trey Murphy III OVER 22.5 Points (+102)

Murphy had a cold stretch shooting the basketball there for about a week, but has responded in a big way with 26, 27, and 44 points in his last three games.

He's facing a Sacramento team tonight that is arguably the worst defensive team in the league. They're allowing opponents to pile up points and stats - pretty much across all positions. Look for Murphy to keep his streak going and score with ease against this Kings team tonight.

Jarrett Allen OVER 24.5 Points + Rebounds (-132)

I love Allen tonight to keep his solid streak going. He's been a beast on the boards with Mobley out, and the addition of James Harden has already paid dividends for Allen, as he had 29 points on 11 of 12 from the field against the Kings in Harden's debut.

This number is juiced, but I like this prop at 25.5 and even a few ticks higher.

Isaiah Collier OVER 26.5 Points + Assists (-117)

Collier should be in line for a ton of minutes again tonight as Keyonte George is out. He played the entire game in both of the last two games that George missed as the Jazz dealt his backup, Walter Clayton Jr. to the Grizzlies at the deadline.

Collier has crushed this prop in three straight games, posting 39, 36, and 30 points and assists in those games. This game against the Heat has a huge 242.5 total and Collier, so we should see a lot of offense. Collier is taking a lot more shots without George in the lineup and now has another solid finisher to assist with Jaren Jackson Jr. joining Lauri Markkanen in the Jazz frontcourt.

NBA Value Props

All odds are from Novig and were accurate as of 9:30 AM ET

Gui Santos OVER 12.5 Points (+119)

If you haven't seen Santos play yet, tune into this game tonight and check out his skills. He's gone over this number in five straight games for a banged-up Warriors team and should get the start again tonight against a Memphis team that is allowing the most points to opposing power forwards over their last 15 games.

Ty Jerome OVER 13.5 Points (-105)

Jerome has been a scoring machine since he returned from an injury. He has gone over this number in three of those four games, finishing with 13 in his last game and just narrowly missing. He has a massive 30% usage rate while on the floor, so even a 20-minute hard cap on his playing time doesn't bother me.

Onyeka Okongwu OVER 14.5 Points (-107)

Okongwu returned to the starting lineup in Atlanta's last game and promptly put up 16 points against Charlotte. He played 30 minutes and shot 6-11 from the field, showing no issues with the headgear that he has to wear after having his teeth busted up last week.

He'll match up with Rudy Gobert of Minnesota tonight, which is actually a good thing, as Gobert can struggle to guard big men who can stretch the floor like Okongwu. Atlanta and Minnesota have met only once this season so far, and Okongwu had 17 points in that one in just 27 minutes.

Collin Sexton OVER 13.5 PTS (-130)

Sexton poured in 17 points in 29 mintues for the Bulls is his debut. With Josh Giddey and Tre Jones likely out again tonight, I expect him to play a lot off the bench and get up as many shots as he wants. This is a low bar for a scorer of his caliber in that many minutes.
