Kalshi NBA Picks Today: High-Volume Prediction Market Trades for March 3, 2026

LaMelo Ball - Charlotte Hornets

Maximize your ROI with today’s top Kalshi NBA picks. Analyze implied win probabilities for Tuesday, March 3rd. Buy the best NBA share prices and edge out traditional Vegas odds.

10 games on a Tuesday night in early March? After a sleepy Monday in the Association, we have a pretty loaded NBA slate tonight, including a national NBC broadcast of the San Antonio Spurs and the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Eastern Conference features a marquee matchup between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the potential #1 seed Detroit Pistons, as well as another meeting of playoff-bound teams as the Toronto Raptors host the New York Knicks. It's an ideal set of games to introduce RotoBaller readers to Kalshi prediction markets. I cover the NBA every day and will look for market inadequacies to exploit with both game outcome and player prop contracts.

What follows are my favorite Kalshi contracts to purchase from those available for tonight's set of NBA contests. All prices were current as of 8:00 AM on Tuesday, March 3rd, and I'll continue to update them several times throughout the day.

Featured Promo: New Novig users get a $25 purchase match (50% discount up to $25) on your first Novig deposit, and 6 free months of RotoBaller's "Big-4" Premium Pass (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL) which includes exclusive tools for Betting, Props, DFS and more! CLAIM IT NOW

Market Alpha: Why Peer-to-Peer Pricing Beats Vegas Today

Prediction markets like Kalshi are gaining popularity quickly, and when it comes to the sports market, it's pretty easy to see why they're preferable to traditional sports books.

Kalshi sells "Yes" and "No" contracts on sporting events, with users being able to purchase those contracts at prices that adjust to the supply and demand of other users.

There's no "vig" on these odds, because sites like Kalshi make money on the volume of trading, they don't take a cut of your winnings as a traditional book does.

Contracts are also liquid, meaning they can be sold before the event starts, allowing users to change their position or take advantage of any additional value their position has gained.

It's pretty simple; there's no house edge in prediction markets; the available odds provided by the market, which is controlled by the trades that other users are making! We have to beat the public sentiment and seek out leverage opportunities, which can lead to a slightly different style of speculation that some may be used to.

Today's "Alpha Gap" Table

For this article, I will use traditional market pricing, with the price for each event listed in cents. You can toggle the settings on Kalshi to have each event displayed in sportsbook pricing if you're more comfortable with that format.

NBA Matchup Vegas Odds Implied Vegas Price Kalshi Yes Price Projected Price
Charlotte -12.5 -110 $0.52 $0.51 0.55
Cleveland ML 110 $0.48 $0.43 0.51
New York -2.5 -112 $0.53 $0.52 0.59

The "projected price" is based on my personal projections, giving you an idea of where I think the best Alpha opportunities will be today.

Charlotte is Sneaky Good

Charlotte Hornets Win By Over 12.5 Points - YES ($0.51)

When we look at the NBA teams with a +10 net rating or better over their last 15 games, it's no surprise to see Cleveland, Detroit, New York, and Boston. But right in the middle of that group are the Charlotte Hornets at +10.5, and they might just be playing their best basketball of the season right now.

Charlotte has won four straight games with an average win margin of 22.25 points over this most recent stretch. Tonight, they are at home, where they're 17-12 ATS and facing a lowly Dallas team that has dropped its last three games with an average margin of loss of 13.6 points.

Charlotte's starting five of LaMelo Ball, Kon Knueppel, Miles Bridges, Brandon Miller, and Moussa Diabate has the best net rating of any lineup in the NBA, and it's not particularly close!

Dallas has been poor on the road this season, covering in just 10 of 26 games. Cooper Flagg is doubtful, and they'll also be without Naji Marshall, one of their best players this season. I rarely position myself on such a big favorite, but I think this game has enormous blowout potential with both teams trending drastically in different directions.

Cleveland Underpriced at Home?

Detroit at Cleveland: YES - Cleveland ($0.43)

The Cavs will host the Pistons tonight in a matchup of two heavy hitters in the East. The Pistons own the season series 2-1, which includes a narrow three-point win against the Cavs back in Detroit last week. Donovan Mitchell and James Harden were both out for that game, and Harden will be back in the lineup for Cleveland tonight.

But Cleveland has been pretty darn good since acquiring Harden, going 7-1 in games in which "The Beard" has played. They're a half point better than Detroit in net rating over their last 15 games and have a 64.5% win rate at home.

I have this game handicapped as a pick 'em, so I am happy to gobble up the value on the Cleveland side.

Do the Knicks Own the Raptors?

New York Knicks Win By Over 2.5 Points - YES ($0.52)

The Knicks are flying high right now, coming off a thorough thumping of the San Antonio Spurs - the same team they beat in the NBA Emirates Cup final back in December. New York is healthy and looking like one of a handful of contenders in the Eastern Conference.

They face Toronto tonight on the road, and while the Raptors are only four games behind the Knicks in the standings, they feel like they are in the next tier of teams down from the Knicks, Cavs, Pistons, and Celtics.

New York has trounced the Raptors three times in head-to-head matchups this season, winning by 16, 22, and 27 points. The Knicks are just a bad matchup for Toronto, especially when they play big with Mitchell Robinson and Karl-Anthony Towns on the floor together, as Toronto is undersized in their frontcourt.

I can't get behind Toronto here; they continue to beat lesser teams, but have dropped five out of their last six games against teams with winning records. Look for the Knicks to take care of business behind the strong offensive play of Jalen Brunson and the improved defense (of late) of KAT, OG Anunoby, and the rest of the supporting cast.

NBA Player Prop Contracts

Tyrese Maxey: 30+ Points - YES ($0.51)

The Sixers are without Joel Embiid again tonight, so expect it to be the Tyrese Maxey show once again. Maxey put up an incredible 34 shot attempts against Boston on Sunday, and another 40% usage game could be coming against the Spurs. The Sixers are 8.5-point underdogs, but I expect them to compete tonight and for Maxey to cross this threshold as he has in four of the last six games that Embiid missed.

James Harden: 8+ Assists - YES ($0.50)

Without Mitchell tonight, we should see the ball in Harden's hands to initiate the offense for the Cavs on nearly every possession that he's on the floor. It's a tough defensive matchup, sure, but Harden has already gone for eight assists in six of his eight games with the Cavs.

He's playing through a fracture in his left hand, and while he will likely be a bit more assertive on offense as a scorer, I think he will be focused on getting Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen both going in the early going.

LONG SHOT SPECIAL:

Jaden McDaniels: 20+ Points - YES ($0.28)

McDaniels and the Wolves are heavy favorites against the Grizzlies, so there's certainly some risk of a blowout here. However, McDaniels is playing at a very high level right now, cracking the 20-point barrier three times in his last six games despite only averaging 15.2 points per game this season.

He's gone for 20+ in two of the three matchups with Memphis this year, too. With Julius Randle struggling with his shot, I look for McDaniels to continue to pick up the slack. He can score at every level and is playing with a ton of confidence right now. It certainly helps that Memphis's defense is an absolute sieve these days, too.

POINTS PARLAY

Screenshot

You can pair Allen and Saddiq Bey to both score 15+ points tonight and get a 2.4x payout on your investment!

Bey has a 70% hit rate over his last ten games, and Allen has a 90% hit rate.
