Wyatt Langford Day-to-Day With Side Tightness
Wyatt Langford (side) was out of the lineup for a 6-4 loss to the Miami Marlins on Friday with "side tightness," manager Bruce Bochy said. Bochy added that Langford is day-to-day and may have to sit out Saturday's game. Side issues often lead to oblique injuries, which have been a problem for Langford this season. He has been on the 10-day IL twice this year with oblique strains (one on each side), giving the Rangers more incentive to play it safe with him. The 23-year-old has set career highs in homers (21) and stolen bases (21) while slashing .241/.342/.427 with 72 runs scored and 61 RBI in 567 plate appearances this season. Alejandro Osuna filled in for Langford in left field on Friday.
