JuJu Smith-Schuster Signing With The Chiefs
3 years agoFree-agent wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is signing an undisclosed deal with the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that Smith-Schuster's deal is for one year and $10.75 million. Kansas City lost Byron Pringle in free agency, but they replace him with Smith-Schuster. Not bad. The 25-year-old former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout will now join an already loaded offense with Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Mecole Hardman, and he should immediately become the No. 2 receiver behind Hill. Smith-Schuster only played in five regular season games for Pittsburgh in 2021 after suffering a shoulder injury that required surgery, but he had 831 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 2020 and was a Pro Bowler in 2018 when he had 1,426 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
