NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers - FantasyScore Advice for 12/13

All throughout the 2014-15 campaign, RotoBaller will be giving you the top NBA DFS lineup picks at the guard, forward and center positions as well as a couple of sleepers for the day. Below are our favorite picks for December 13th, 2014.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Worth the Investment

Blake Griffin (LAC, F) - $8,200

So Griffin was just taking a night off on Friday, right?  That, or the Wizards defense is much better than anticipated because Griffin was nearly non-existent in the Clippers’ 104-96 loss in Washington.  It’s probably more of the latter than the former as Kris Humphries has resurrected his career posting up and crashing the boards in the nation’s capital.

As for Griffin, he should tee off against the Bucks’ frontcourt Saturday.  Milwaukee is allowing over 40 FSPPG over their last ten games and there’s no reason Griffin cannot top that.  He should be a scoring and rebounding force in Milwaukee.

Paul Millsap (ATL, F) - $7,200

Take two.  Atlanta will play Orlando for the second time in as many nights and it worked so well Friday night that the Hawks will probably employ the “feed it to Millsap” strategy yet again.  Orlando has not exactly been a frontcourt iron wall on defense this season.  Millsap played a total of 32 minutes in Friday night’s game so do not worry about fatigue.  He will be ready, again.

Ty Lawson (DEN, G) - $6,000

It is a shame the Warriors-Mavericks game is not included in today’s DFS matchups, as plenty of guards- cough, cough, Steph Curry- would make for great plays today.  As it is, Lawson will be the best value pick of the day as his budget is not a big hit against the cap and the matchup against the Rockets should provide for a fast-paced, high scoring affair in which both point guards will get plenty of scoring opportunities.

Memphis guard Mike Conley should also get a nod here, but he is a little more expensive and Lawson should out-produce the wily, veteran point guard.  There is also the blowout potential to look out for in the Grizzlies-Sixers contest.

Top Sleepers

Robert Covington (PHI, F) - $2,200

Even with a tough outing against the defensive minded Grizzlies, Covington still provides top notch risk/reward value for his low price as a starter.  The Sixers have been awful all season but Covington is starting to get in to a groove.  In three of his last four games, Covington has dropped at least 20 points and has recorded 32.00, 32.50 and 37.00 FSP, respectively.  Outside of Michael Carter-Williams, Covington is the Sixers’ main scoring option until another player steps up.

C.J. Watson (IND, G) - $2,200

This is the one.  The one low-budget pick that has a top return on investment and makes a DFS player look like a genius.  Bank on Watson tonight.

Donald Sloan has been benched as the starter due to his terrible ball-handling skills and Watson has taken over the starting point guard duties.  Though a solid defensive team, Portland has given up their fair share of FSP to opposing guards over the last eight games.  Watson’s budget is so low that any player can take him and load up on nearly every other position.  Expect Watson to his the 30+ FSP mark Saturday.
