NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers – FantasyScore Advice for 12/10

All throughout the 2014-15 campaign, RotoBaller will be giving you the top NBA DFS lineup picks at the guard, forward and center positions as well as a couple of sleepers for the day. Below are our favorite picks for December 8th, 2014.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Editor’s Note: RotoBaller is proud to be partnering with FantasyScore, our new and exclusive DFS partner. As a subsidiary of the USA TODAY Sports Media Group, FantasyScore has the most exciting promotional offer in the DFS industry.fantasyscore-advertorial

Worth the Investment

Damian Lillard (POR, G) - $7,600

The guard position is absolutely loaded with studs Wednesday night. The slate includes Stephen Curry versus James Harden in what should be a great duel while John Wall and Rajon Rondo both have tremendous matchups. With that said, Lillard, who has scored over 30 fantasy points in each of his last 10 games and is averaging 37.59 on the season, is the top play due to his high usage rate and phenomenal matchup against Minnesota.

With most of their starting lineup out due to injury, the Timberwolves have had to rely on rookies Zach LaVine and Andrew Wiggins. Both are explosive athletes, but are still finding their way on the defensive end. Expect Lillard and Portland to take advantage of the Wolves' youth.

Pau Gasol (CHI, F) - $6,700

Gasol continues to be an absolute steal at $6,700 despite posting over 40 fantasy points in six of his last seven games. With injuries to Derrick RoseTaj Gibson and Joakim Noah throughout the year, Gasol has been the rock of the offense for Chicago with averages of 20.1 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

Chicago expects to get Gibson back tonight, but will be without Noah as they take on a Nets team that is missing a ton of players, including star center Brook Lopez. It is difficult to imagine that Gasol will not be the top value at forward tonight.

Al Horford (ATL, C) - $6,500

With averages of just 13.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks, Horford has certainly not been the same dominant fantasy force of past years. That being said, he is still a consistent option at center that has averaged 28.73 fantasy points per game this season and is coming off of a monster 46.50 fantasy point effort against Indiana on Monday.

Horford gets the benefit of playing the Sixers on Wednesday night, who struggle to defend nearly every position on the floor. At this price, he will eat up just 13 percent of your cap.

Top Sleeper

Kevin Garnett (BRK, F) - $3,800

As we mentioned above with Gasol, Brooklyn is extremely beat up. Brook Lopez is out tonight. Joe Johnson and Mirza Teletovic are questionable.

That leaves Garnett and Mason Plumlee as the only real bigs on the roster worth a look. Garnett is no longer the 20-point scorer he was in his prime, but is still solid on the boards at 8.3 per game. Along with that, he has scored over 21 fantasy points in four of his last five contests.

Garnett does not have the huge upside of other players, but he is almost certain to put up near 20 fantasy points, which is a solid total for a player that will take up under 8 percent of your cap space.
