Jamie's best MLB player prop bets for today (4/6/2026). Bet his home run props (HR props) and win money betting on MLB player props, including Shohei Ohtani, Yordan Alvarez, Gunnar Henderson, and more!
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a restful, family-filled, and RotoBaller-ific Easter yesterday (if that's not a word, I'm making it one). If you read and followed Alex's HR prop article yesterday, you're likely a lot richer this morning as Adolis Garcia and Ben Rice both connected for homers, and Ketel Marte was OH SO CLOSE to hitting one at the end of the game as well (pain).
Tonight we have 13 games on tap (unusual for a Monday), so make sure to get your season-long lineups set as well (we can help with that in the RotoBaller Discord as well). New series' (series-es?) begin today, highlighted by a rematch of the 2025 World Series, and we also have another Coors tilt on the dance card as well. You can bet we'll be looking at those matchups first and foremost for the best HR prop odds.
Below, you'll read about my favorite home run props from MLB games on Monday, April 6, 2026. We've listed the best odds and the book you can get them at, as of the time of this writing, but still be sure to odds-shop as odds can change throughout the day. Now let's get to it.

MLB Prop Bets - Today's Home Run Prop Picks (4/6/2026)
Here are all the hitters I'll cover for HR props on Monday, April 6, 2026.
| Hitter | Team | Opponent | HR Odds | Sportsbook |
| Shohei Ohtani | Dodgers | Blue Jays | +186 | Novig |
| Yordan Alvarez | Astros | Rockies | +300 | TheScore |
| Brandon Lowe | Pirates | Padres | +400 | FanDuel |
| Gunnar Henderson | Orioles | White Sox | +475 | BetMGM |
Shohei Ohtani OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+186, Novig)
Let's start with the lowest-hanging fruit on the slate. The Blue Jays travel to Toronto for a rematch of the 2025 World Series, and it's likely we get some early-season fireworks in this one. It's frigid in Toronto (game time forecast is set for about 32 degrees), but that's the beauty of having a retractable roof (take note, other ball clubs).
Ohtani (predictably) has the lowest odds to homer, but that doesn't mean it's something we should avoid. Ohtani is coming off a terrific series in Washington, where he went 6-for-15 with two homers and a double, and his 26.5% barrel rate to start the season is an indication that he's only just begun to rake again.

41-year old Max Scherzer will toe the rubber for the Jays in this series opener. While it's a nice story that he's still pitching at an effective level, he's certainly nowhere near the hurler he once was. Scherzer was far less effective against lefties last year, allowing a 42.7% HHR and an ugly .288 ISO. He only struck out 17% of lefties he faced, which helps mitigate the one thing that Shohei can sometimes struggle with. I'm a fan of this chalk homer bet hitting tonight.
Yordan Alvarez OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+300, TheScore)
Other than the first game, where the Phillies put up 10 runs, Coors Field didn't give us the offensive explosions we've come to expect from there (eight total runs were scored in the final two games of the series). Coors will start Coors-ing eventually, though, and it's important we don't let outlier games detract us from the fact that this is the most predictable offensive park in baseball.
Ryan Feltner, believe it or not, is an interesting GPP pitcher for me in DFS against Houston. He was effective against righties last year with a rising K rate as the year went on, and he'll likely face seven of them in the Houston lineup. But that's DFS. This is for homer props, and we're heavily targeting the big lefty at the top of Houston's order.
Yordan Alvarez has gotten off to a scorching start to the season with a .400 batting average, 1.478 OPS, and four homers. He's barreled righties for a 20% rate so far, and his K rate against them is currently lower than his career mark. For all Feltner's success against righties, he's been equally bad against lefties, allowing a .190 ISO and 42.2% HHR.

Brandon Lowe OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+400 FanDuel)
How bout them Buckos?? The Pirates have now won five games in a row after sweeping the Orioles, and it warms the cockles of your heart to actually see a crowd there to cheer them on. With Konnor Griffin and Paul Skenes at the helm, MAYBE Pittsburgh is finally building a product worth watching.

Oneil Cruz immediately came to mind as the HR prop, but I like Brandon Lowe better (plus, you're getting better odds on him). After hitting three homers in his first three games, Lowe has gone five straight contests without a homer, but it's high time he got back on the board in this one. German Marquez has been a darling to attack for the past decade plus, and that shouldn't change even with him out of Coors Field.
Marquez hasn't been able to miss bats in quite a while now, and 2025 was no different as he posted a meager 14% K rate. The power allowed is alarming as well, as Marquez gave up 1.6 HR/9 and a .228 ISO. Lowe is crushing righties to start the season with a 1.125 SLG, and he's only struck out at a 12% rate against them. I love him to go yard tonight and lead the Pirates to a sixth straight win.
Gunnar Henderson OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+475, Bet MGM)
The Orioles are reeling after getting swept by Pittsburgh, and now travel to Chicago for a date with another "bad" team from last year that's shown some signs of life to start 2026. The White Sox have some fun rookies to watch, but their pitching remains incredibly suspect. The Orioles should be able to pounce on them, and I like Gunnar Henderson's odds to go yard here.
Erick Fedde is starting for Chicago, and he's been a launching pad for left-handers. Last year, he gave up a 43% HHR and .217 ISO to southpaws while only striking out 11.4% of them. Henderson has been slow out of the gate against righties, but for his career, he's beaten them up to the tune of a .377 wOBA and .243 ISO. I picture Rob Riggle yelling "FINISH HIM!" (Hangover style) when Henderson comes to the plate against Fedde tonight.
