Keelan Cole 2018 Outlook: Big Plays Equal Big Points
6 years agoWhen you look back on a season, you typically find a few guys who flew under the radar. Someone that slipped past you on the waiver wire or maybe a guy who had a huge week in the playoffs that may have cost you a championship. In 2017, Keelan Cole may have been that guy.
Cole was the definition of big play last season, leading the league in yards per catch at 17.8. The Jaguars offense was so run heavy last season, it’s hard to imagine they were able to open the passing game like this. Maybe that is why Cole was so successful though. If the Jaguars can be successful in the run game again in 2018, it could draw defenders closer to the line, giving Cole plenty of room to roam. From Weeks 12-15 last season, Cole was the WR6 in standard leagues. If the end of the season was any indication of what we will see in 2018, then Cole is a great option to grab late in drafts. To finish the year, Cole had 19 catches for 442 yards and three touchdowns. The big play ability will be there all year long.
