Clyde Edwards-Helaire 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Veteran Handcuff In A Solid Offense
7 months agoKansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire re-signed with the team on a one-year deal looking to be the primary backup to Isiah Pacheco. While this is a great move for the Chiefs’ depth, it does not move the needle much for fantasy. Edwards-Helaire had a mostly forgettable 2023 campaign, with only Week 15’s effort of over 100 total yards with a score standing out. Career lows in attempts, yards, targets, and touchdowns highlighted his lack of production in 2023. Only having two total touchdowns showed how little the Chiefs were using him in the red zone and high-leverage situations. Things should be even more bleak for CEH in 2024 as Pacheco continues his rise as a reliable running back. CEH's only value entering the season comes as a handcuff to Pacheco pending future injuries. Consider CEH with one of your last picks if you draft Pacheco early and want some insurance for his hard rushing style.
