Cleveland Signs Shedeur Sanders to Rookie Deal
Shedeur Sanders to a four-year contract worth $4.6 million. NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reported the news. Much has been made about the Colorado product's epic draft-day slide, and now it's up to him to prove the league wrong. Whether he's an NFL-caliber quarterback remains to be seen, but he's undoubtedly motivated to start his climb up Cleveland's quarterback depth chart. Accuracy is Sanders' superpower, but he needs to play more within the confines of his game, particularly given his average athleticism. The good news is that the competition to head the Browns' offense is mostly wide open. Veteran Joe Flacco stands to get the first crack at the starting job unless Kenny Pickett can beat him out in training camp. From there, it's Sanders and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, with Deshaun Watson (Achilles) unlikely to play in 2025.Source: Jordan Schultz
The Cleveland Browns have signed rookie quarterback Michael Gonzalez Signs With Atlanta
Source: Will McFadden
Per the team, the Atlanta Falcons have signed undrafted free agent offensive lineman Michael Gonzalez to a three-year, $2.96 million contract. The rookie was a guard during his time at the University of Louisville, starting all 27 games over his final two seasons. Gonzalez helped his college rush for over 175 yards per game in those campaigns. Though he was not drafted, Atlanta saw something they liked in the North Carolina native, inviting him to the team's rookie mini-camp and cross-training him at center. He's currently buried on the team's depth chart but is an effective pass blocker and should have a good amount of time to develop under offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford.Chiefs Agree to Terms with Tremayne Anchrum
Source: Aaron Wilson
KPRC 2 Houston's Aaron Wilson reports that the Kansas City Chiefs have signed free-agent offensive lineman Tremayne Anchrum to an undisclosed contract. The former Los Angeles Ram has appeared in 31 games over his career (one start) after the team selected him in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Anchrum last played in 2023 with L.A., suiting up for all 17 games, but spending most of his time on special teams aside from Weeks 2 and 17, in which he played more than 50% of the offensive snaps. Although he isn't likely to challenge for the starting roster, the 26-year-old's experience would be valuable if needed due to injuries. He's third (unofficially) on the depth chart at guard behind teammates Trey Smith and C.J. Hanson.Omarion Hampton Inks Rookie Deal with Chargers
Omarion Hampton has agreed to a four-year, $17.77 million deal with the Los Angeles Chargers. The contract includes a $9.56 million signing bonus. Hampton and backfield mate Najee Harris are set to split time in Jim Harbaugh's offense, which caps the former Tar Heel's immediate upside. Still, his long-term outlook is looking quite rosy. Like Harris, the 22-year-old is a powerful, bruising back with a three-down skill set, though he possesses much more explosiveness than the veteran. Even if Hampton starts the season off behind his teammate in carries, it wouldn't be surprising to see him even out the workload over the course of the season -- if not outright taking the job if he adjusts quickly enough.Source: Jordan Schultz
NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports that first-round rookie running back Michael Fletcher Signed by Jets
Source: Eric Allen
The New York Jets have signed undrafted free agent defensive lineman Michael Fletcher to a three-year, $2.96 million contract. Fletcher was ranked the No. 1 high school defensive end prospect in the state of Michigan by ESPN.com and a consensus top 50 player in the nation. After four seasons with Michigan State -- in which he garnered just three starts in 22 games -- he transferred to Appalachian State and found much more success. Over those final two campaigns, he recorded 40 tackles (18 solo) with 8.5 sacks and ten tackles for loss. The Michigan native is likely set for a rotational/depth role off the edge for the Jets if he makes the roster, and joins a unit that ranked eleventh as a team with 43 sacks in 2024.Eagles, Nick Sirianni Agree To Contract Extension
Source: The 33rd Team - Ari Meirov
The Philadelphia Eagles and head coach Nick Sirianni agreed to an undisclosed long-term contract extension on Monday, according to The 33rd Team's Ari Meirov. It doesn't come as much of a surprise after Sirianni just helped lead the team to their second Super Bowl championship last season in a blowout win over the Kansas City Chiefs, who were looking to become the first team ever to win three straight championships. Sirianni was hired before the start of the 2021 season. Since then, the Eagles have made the playoffs four straight years with two Super Bowl appearances and won Lombardi Trophy. "Nick has embodied everything we were looking for in a head coach since we hired him four years ago. His authentic style of leadership, football intelligence, passion for the game, and growth mindset have helped to bring out the best in our team. I am excited for what the future holds for the Philadelphia Eagles," chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie said.Brock Purdy has Full No-Trade Clause
Brock Purdy received a full no-trade clause for the duration of the deal, sources told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Purdy gets financial security and control over his future in a deal that is expected to be finalized and become official soon. It wasn't completely Purdy's fault as to why he fell from being the QB6 to QB13 in overall fantasy points in the 2024 season. San Francisco's offense was behind the eight ball from the beginning of the year when they didn't have star running back until the second half of the season, and then he suffered a new injury that caused him to be shut down. Top wideout Brandon Aiyuk also suffered a season-ending injury. The 25-year-old signal-caller could rebound to QB1 levels with better health of his offensive weapons.Source: NFL Network - Mike Garofolo
A part of his five-year, $265 million contract extension, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Singleton On Track for Training Camp
Source: Parker Gabriel
Denver Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton (knee) is expected to be ready for training camp, according to Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post. Singleton underwent surgery on his ACL last October, but he's on track in his recovery. "I can't give specific numbers, but we have practices in a few weeks, and you guys can see for yourselves where I'm at," Singleton said. "I'm getting my helmet fitted next week. Then, the first OTAs. All these happy moments. And then training camp. I think it'll be really cool to get to do those things and get to do that." Singleton only played in three games last season, but he still amassed 31 tackles, one quarterback hit, and one interception.Saints Not Considering Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers "is not under consideration" for the New Orleans Saints, according to Jeff Duncan of NOLA.com. There had been some speculation that he could be a target for the Saints after Derek Carr retired, but it sounds like the team is not currently interested in the future Hall of Famer. Rodgers went 5-12 through 17 starts in his only full season with the Jets last year. He completed 63 percent of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. The four-time MVP is heavily favored to land with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he'd have DK Metcalf and Pat Freiermuth at his disposal. However, at the moment, no deal is imminent. Meanwhile, the Saints appear satisfied with their current quarterback room of Tyler Shough, Spencer Rattler, and Jake Haener.Source: Jeff Duncan
Free-agent quarterback Joe Douglas Returns to Eagles' Front Office
Source: Jeff McLane
The Philadelphia Eagles have hired Joe Douglas to a senior scouting position, according to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Enquirer. Douglas was the Eagles' Vice President of Player Personnel from 2016 to 2019 before being hired as the New York Jets' general manager. He spent nearly six seasons with the Jets but was fired last November. Douglas' tenure in New York had mixed reviews; he earned plenty of criticism for the Jets repeatedly finishing below .500, but there has also been some speculation that ownership influenced the roster construction and Douglas didn't have full control over the team. Regardless, Douglas now heads back to Philadelphia, where he was highly regarded during his first stint with the Eagles. McLane writes that Douglas was Eagles general manager Howie Roseman's "right-hand man" when building the 2017 Super Bowl-winning roster, and now he'll head back to Philly as the Eagles look to defend their latest Super Bowl title.Keaontay Ingram Reverts to Injured Reserve
Keaontay Ingram (undisclosed) cleared waivers and reverted to injured reserve last Friday, according to KPRC's Aaron Wilson. The Chiefs previously spoke highly of the 25-year-old running back, and he's now sticking around the organization after the rest of the NFL opted against claiming him. Ingram played in just one game with the Chiefs last year, but before that, he amassed 181 scrimmage yards and one touchdown through two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. Ingram will miss the entire 2025 season unless he agrees to an injury settlement with Kansas City, which would result in his release.Source: Aaron Wilson

49ers Sign Kicker Greg Joseph
Greg Joseph to an undisclosed one-year deal on Friday, according to his agent. Joseph will head to the NFC West after he spent 2024 kicking for three teams -- the New York Giants, Washington Commanders and New York Jets. In eight games with those three clubs, the 30-year-old veteran went 16-for-20 on his field-goal attempts (1-for-2 from 50-plus yards) and 11-for-11 on his extra-point tries. Joseph will be in a competition in training camp for the starting kicking job this summer with Jake Moody, who will be the favorite to win the competition. Joseph entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Florida Atlantic before debuting with the Cleveland Browns in 2018. He has an 82.3% success rate on 141 career field-goal attempts over his six seasons in the league.Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter
