Ronald Jones II Still The Starter After Leonard Fournette Signing
4 years agoDespite signing running back Leonard Fournette on Wednesday night, Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said that Ronald Jones II remains the starting running back and indicated that veteran LeSean McCoy will have a spot on the roster. "It's his job. Nothing's changed for him. We've just added a heck of a piece of insurance and [we'll] see what kind of role he can cut out," Arians said. The coaching staff has been talking up Jones in training camp as a potential workhorse back, but the additions of Fournette and McCoy say otherwise. Fournette's role is to be determined for now. This has become a very messy backfield to navigate for fantasy purposes. Jones seems to be the guy for now, but Fournette and others will eventually cut into his workload, making him a low-ceiling RB3/4. Jones is even less attractive in PPR leagues.
